As Nigeria continues to battle the second wave of the COVID19 pandemic, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, said the Federal government cannot force Nigerians to take the COVID-19 vaccine, IgbereTV reports.

The Sultan who is the President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, stated this during the sensitisation programme on COVID-19 vaccine for Muslim Scholars and Imams in Nigeria on Wednesday, January 27.

The Sultan said;

“I believe that we cannot force people to take vaccine. There are myths, people talk of conspiracy theories.

I am not giving an answer to anything. If the vaccine is meant to kill us, will anybody wait for this COVID-19 vaccines before killing us? If anybody wants to kill us, there are millions and one ways to kill us. But I am not giving an answer to anything that the COVID-19 vaccine is this or that. The vaccines are free, we are not paying for the vaccine, it is your choice to take the vaccine.”

The monarch said that what the Federal government needs to do is sensitize the public on the importance of taking the vaccine and not force people to take it.

The hues and cries about the vaccine!
Let's ask ourselves:
Was there at any point in our country,
A Pandemic as to warrant a lockdown that almost marred the chances of recoveries of many small scale businesses?
A "Plandemic" to receive funds from donor agencies and Non Governmental Organisations in guise of fighting a disease that was not as deadly and ravaging as Ebola?
or a "Scamdemic" to amass palliatives received from the "Plandemic" to enrich political families and cronies.

As for me I ain't taking any fvcking vaccine.
I'm not at risk,if someone like elon musk can reject the vaccine then why can't I?

My Agbo seller is always on ground to serve me quality roots and herbs to fight any fvcking ailment.
How come they where able to develop covid-19 vaccines so fast yet couldn't develop one for malaria,Hiv aids,cancer, tuberculosis for years now.

The Sultan has a good point.

They should vaccinate those who really need them.

No vaccine for cancer in more than 50yrs
No vaccine against malaria in more than 100yrs

But in less than a year, there is vaccine for virus that has 95% survival rate.

Anyway, I'll take vaccine when I finally left Nigeria. I don't trust my Nigerian government.
