Nigeria is a naturally corrupt location. People who benefit from corruption never complain about it. People who complain only do so because they are not benefiting. Transparency starts with everybody.

This ain't brilliant.....

Rubbish.

Is there anything mentioned here that wasn't happening in this country for the past 30 years?

It is called corruption perception. Most people don't even know this;
It doesn't necessarily mean that the country has become more corrupt..

Why the corruption index rises is that corruption activities are making the headlines much more than before.
That is due to Moore exposure.

The number of corruption cases with the EFCC and in the courts is unprecedented in the history of this country.
The number of EFCC prosecutions and convictions is also unprecedented in our history.

A lot of people are so ignorant, they didn't know how this corruption index works.

Are u saying that buhari and APC supporters were ignorant about all this in 2015 when they were making noise that Jonathan was corrupt and buhari was a saint that will wipe out corruption from Nigeria?

Whats this one blabbing.

Have you been bitten by lie Muhammed and turned to a brain dead walking zombie? lipsrsealed kiss

In 2015 when this same metric was used agsinst pdp to show how bad things had become, hadn't Nigeria been already corrupt for 30 years?

Now its because efcc is allegedly working in over drive (a claim you make with ZERO data) we arevnow getting worse on the index.

You're logic is working in reverse. Quit all your argumentative fallacies jare

Buhari is a failure and I regret ever defending him, how can we expect Citizens to be patriotic when the president isnt even concerned with the corrupted reality of the Nation

Someone adviced "You cannot close shop to chase criminals"

Then someone responded

"If you don't chase criminals you will have nothing left in your shop"

Years down the line... the criminals them no catch ..yet nothing remain inside the shop.
Criminalism increased exponentially under them ... More shops were closed due to nothing left to sell

Because they neither close shop nor chase criminals. Even shop has been stolen by the criminals.

People will still lobby for your kids or siblings to get jobs they are not even qualified for.

People will get a government contract tomorrow and still ask for your cut.

Everybody just calling corruption corruption corruption upandan.

Which people are the case study of corruption Nigeria.? You think it's only Buhari and his government?

80 percent of those who have commented on this post are more corrupt than Buhari.

CPI doesn't measure the actual corruption in the country it just measures the public opinion on corruption and more corrupt cases have been exposed so people naturally assume that the country is gradually getting worse when it infact it is the exact opposite

Exaclty my point.

99 percent of the people in this country don't understand this.

Even those who understand this fact pretend not to understand.

Can't you even see the pathetic comments all over the place?

It's people like you that would come in defence of our leadership... using the little education that you have while the people are dying.
You want to give the perception that things are not getting worse in nigeria when we all know the truth.
Why are you against your own people. Why take sides with the dishonest leadership.
I hope you one day realize that your education has become a disservice to your own people

When buhari entered he promised to fight corruption and insecurity and he has failed on both fronts, he has undoubtedly done far better than Goodluck Jonathan but just because things are better than they were in 2015 doesn't mean he has fulfilled his promised and there is nothing wrong with asking for more since his campaign motto was literally "change"

During GEJ bokoharam rampaged in every region of the country because of corruption in the security structures of the country, that was a physical consequence of corruption that we could all feel so natural we were more critical of him than we are of buhari who has been better at battling the terrorists

Do they even read the write up at all? The index is in may respects giving kudo to the Government in fighting and exposing corruption. The points that is a minus to the government is in the area of nepotism.
And more so, the Governors are all collecting security allocations which is not transparently utilized. We have both the PDP and APC Governors

When Nigeria becomes visibly and obviously less corrupt, the whole world will be there to celebrate it.

Buhari govt is like that Bible passage that says having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.

It is disguising as anti-corrupt, but there is nothing anti-corrupt about buhari and his fellow crooks in power.

Why are you insistent on asking a foolish question?

Were the accusations of corruption on Gej based on TI reports? No.

They were based on barefaced pilfering, looting and stealing witnessed on ground not based on some "perceptions" from a body not based around the shores of Nigeria.

Answering this foolish question really hurt but I had to.
