Hello, everyone. Happy New Year.

I'm getting ready to join in the application for the Canadian express entry.

Is it advisable to get WES evaluation before writing IELTS.

I'm still reading the tread.
Thank you.
Its advisable you start with Wes as transcript processing take a long time and your report is valid for a longer period than ielts result

Hi Everyone,
When you want to upload your travel documents post ITA , what does the multiple in bracket means ? Do one have to upload all past/expired passports as well, including all the pages in the passport ? or only the current valid passport is enough?
Lastly is it compulsory to upload all blank pages in the passport, even though no stamps or visa on them?

Thanks guys..

Hi fam!

Please has anyone requested for transcript from unilag recently? Their portal isn't working here .

Also, please how do I upload my certificate on WES? Just pdf?

Lastly, for Canada express entry, does your grade of graduation matter .e.g. does a 2.1 get the same points as a 2.2?

Please help

Thanks and God bless.
it doesnt matter what your grade is. Also their an upload button on the WES portal for your certificate. If the UNILAG portal isnt working, I think you should go to the UNILAG transcript office to ask about alternative ways.

Hello everyone! I’m new here and I want to start my Canada EE journey this month. I have an LLB and IQAS seem to be the only ones evaluating LLBs as a Professional Degree, save for one testimony on this thread about CES (which I don’t think I want to risk). I have been able to create a profile on IQAS website but I haven’t been able to do anything else since then! When I log into my profile and click on “I need an assessment to migrate to Canada” it keeps saying the daily limit has been reached. I have been trying everyday, it’s becoming exhausting. I even try at 4:15pm Nigerian time which is 8:15am Alberta time. Is there anyone else going through same? I have scanned through this thread and it seems people only have a problem with payment for IQAS. I haven’t even been able to register talkless of reach the payment point! Please, any help will be appreciated. Time is already going.

Please, still on this. Any information will be appreciated.

Yes. Both primary and secondary applicant should state all work experience in the past 10 years in personal history. No documentation will be required.

No need for blank pages. Upload stamps and markings on your old passport, stamps, markings and bio data page of your new passport

Thank you......Biko seniors epp a brother

Please seniors if you get PR via FSW can you reside in Montreal, Quebec? ......I read online that they have a separate immigration process for that area of Canada

I don't think so. They do have a separate process and if you notice on IRCC website when you're filling your profile, Quebec isn't on the option for selecting provinces of interest. Unless perhaps you get into Canada then get a job in Quebec.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naaomi(f): 9:36am On Jan 29, 2021
You have to keep trying. Some people try for weeks before they're successful.
Start trying before 4.15pm and if possible open the site on multiple browsers, one may go through. Don't give up!!

Bishop, you've partially answered the question. They have their Immigration pathway as you noted, which is also completely independent of the FSWP. You can't come in via FSWP and stay there; the reason why when you're opening your EE profile and/or submitting your application post-ITA, you should avoid selecting them as a province you want to settle. There have been reported cases of rejection because of such avoidable and silly mistake.

I think if you so love Québec as a province, you either learn French and apply through their Arrima pathway/portal OR relocate there after you have earned your Canadian citizenship, that is after you've completed your 3-year stay as a PR.

Plus he/she should change network to a very good/fast one. Naija networks are location dependent, so one has to always determine the best per area.

Please could you please explain better ?

Most programmes in Nigeria would tell you that Masters degree is 18months and one will end up spending close to 2-3 years on the programme.

You need to have a super fast internet.
My advise is to log onto your IQAS portal at 4:01pm, open multiple tabs of the same page, and between 4:10pm and 4:14pm, initiate the 'Create new application' across the tabs.
My wife has been stuck on IQAS payment since December 2020, but we've also gone ahead with CES. CES have received her transcript and Initial review is in Progress. I pray we get a Professional Review.

If you have the means, I'll suggest you try CES and IQAS at the same time.

Best wishes

Good evening guys. Please I am trying to use my NYSC as work experience to gain foreign work experience points.

Now the work reference letter I got did not state that I was a “permanent full time employee”. Instead it states that I served as a “Youth Corper under the Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corp Program”

The letter contains other details such as the duration of my experience (years and dates), Job Title, Job function matching the NOC, annual salary, signature and date, and it was written on a letter headed paper (though this is in black and white)

Now would the absence of the phrase “permanent full time employee” cause any problem. Cause a friend off mine is insisting that the letter must state that I worked as a permanent full time employee.

Please I really need help on this.

Abeg don’t air me.

In my own opinion, you shouldn't bother yourself. These VOs know more about NYSC than you think. They already know it's not a part time thing. As long as the letter carries the number of hours worked per day/week in addition to other things specified on IRCC site, it should be good enough.

Part of the criteria for applying for EE is that you should not be planning to live in Quebec. And yes they do have their own immigration program.
Look at this link under "Where you can live in Canada".

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html#where

I think people do get PR through EE and go and live there, not sure what the consequences are (maybe when you apply for citizenship they can use it against you? Or you may have to prove why you moved there or something)... just speculating sha. Maybe ask on the living in Canada thread, there maybe people that have done it

Get your WES done first before IELTS. WES takes time and IELTS has 2 years of validity.

Things change in this journey super fast, that’s why you have to act fast. Do what you have to do on time ! Max IELTS, Second certificate or learn French.

Thanks alot for this clarification

The thing is I have a Big brother that residents in Montreal and he advises I chose there so that settling down will be very easy as he is willing to help with accommodation and a comfortable job to start with but it would only be possible if I reside in Montreal. He got his Canadian citizenship this month. I will ask him more about it since he is on ground.

Go to Cards
New card
Virtual $ card
You input the amount you want in dollars and it gives you an option to fund the equivalent in naira. You also pay a onetime $2 to set up the card. Exchange rate on Monday was N 475/$1

You get a new card with your name, 16 digits, security code, expiry date and a US address and zip code.

You’re good to go.

Setting up and funding your dollar card shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes.
