JOSCOFELIX:Premium Times newspaper first reported the soldiers from the 157 Battalion, including their commanding officer, were missing in action along with the tank, three artillery guns and eight trucks including one carrying 60,000 rounds of ammunition. The military has reported that it destroyed dozens of Boko Haram camps and freed more than 1,000 kidnap victims in recent weeks. But Boko Haram has stepped up the tempo and range of its attacks, with raids and suicide bombings in the past week in Niger, Cameroon and northern Nigeria. Early Sunday the extremists kidnapped dozens of girls and set ablaze hundreds of buildings in Bam in Borno state, said resident Mallam Ali. The setbacks come as Nigeria’s government admitted it cannot crush by December the 6-year uprising that has killed some 20,000 people.

ariesbull:Which part of Apoi do speak Ijaw language? Is it Shabomi, Kiribo, igbotu, Gbekebo, igbobini(I lived in this place for 7 weeks) abi which of their town gan gan wey dem dey speak ijaw? Chai!! I don Waka gan o You're the real clown boy. Instead of you to show me records to back up your jargons, you dey show me useless videos of men dancing up and down. I even think say nah videos of ibanis talking about how they migrated from Abia or Imo state ![]() Even under Ese Odo LG. The Arogbo language is different from the Apoi, yet they are all ijaws. There is no central Ijaw language, all of them dey get their different languages. The Apois are ijaws by blood, they migrated from Bayelsa. In this life, is good to read and learn about new things. I've never seen any history book where the ibanis trace their origin to any part of Igbo land. While I was in bonny sef, i was told they migrated from a place in Bayelsa (I can't recall the name of the town ).I can see you no get sense sef ![]() Is a waste of time arguing with an ignorant IPOB member. Sit down there for Aba, make you dey spew thrash after downing a bowl of akpu with vegetable ![]() Fulanis dey speak Hausa, does that make them Hausa? There is some towns in Chikun LG where they speak Hausa and even bear Muslim names. An ignorant boy like you might even call different tribes in Nassarawa, Niger, Kaduna hausas since they speak Hausa. I no go read your nonsense this time around not to talk of replying. Bye bye ![]() |

Troops kill Boko Haram Commanders in fresh ambush, confusion hits ISWAP camp In a renewed counter-insurgency operation, Nigerian troops in collaboration with the Multi-National Joint Task Force have eliminated top Boko Haram Commanders on Friday in strategic ambushes. A military intelligence source told PRNigeria that troops eliminated two terrorists’ Commanders: Alai Bor and Maleum Modu, and other Boko Haram fighters in different locations in Borno State. Meanwhile, in another development, there is a confusion in Shura (consultation) Council of the Islamic State of West Africa Province over the appointment of one Abu Dawud as its new leader. This is coming after some militant forces in what appeared as a “coup d’etat” overthrew Amir Abbah-Gana at Tumbum Kayowa. The Eagle Online Troops kill Boko Haram Commanders in fresh ambush, confusion hits ISWAP camp The Eagle Online by The Eagle Online January 31, 20212 min read Breaking: Troops respond swiftly as Boko Haram hit Maiduguri on election day RelatedPosts We’ll continue supporting MNJTF to crush Boko Haram — Buhari MNJTF assures surrendered Boko Haram terrorists of humane treatment Buratai thanks Buhari for rapid development of Army, troops welfare In a renewed counter-insurgency operation, Nigerian troops in collaboration with the Multi-National Joint Task Force have eliminated top Boko Haram Commanders on Friday in strategic ambushes. A military intelligence source told PRNigeria that troops eliminated two terrorists’ Commanders: Alai Bor and Maleum Modu, and other Boko Haram fighters in different locations in Borno State. The source said: “Nigerian troops with the support of MNJTF eliminated Alai Bor, a leader of Boko Haram in Buwari village in Bama, while attempting to cross Gwoza-Pulka Highway with six other terrorists in his entourage. “The other terrorists’ commander, Maleum Modu, and three Boko Haram fighters were gunned down by the Nigerian troops while the terrorists were conducting surveillance around Mafa axis. “Items recovered from them included motorcycles and weapons.” Meanwhile, in another development, there is a confusion in Shura (consultation) Council of the Islamic State of West Africa Province over the appointment of one Abu Dawud as its new leader. This is coming after some militant forces in what appeared as a “coup d’etat” overthrew Amir Abbah-Gana at Tumbum Kayowa. Abbah-Gana, PRNigeria learnt, was ousted following a mass protest against the lopsided appointment of one Aliyu Chakkar as the new “Governor of the Lake Chad”. Chakkar replaced one Goni Maina, a former Commander. It was further gathered that bloody gunfire between militants forces supporting the factional “Governors” led to the death of dozens of insurgents. Before the appointment of Abu Dawud, one Amir Goni Mustapha was appointed as Acting Leader and Chief Imam of the ISWAP sect for three weeks, while awaiting the decision of the Shura Council. The reason for the dissolution, according to the Shura Council, include, but not limited to the loss of territories as a result of the offensives launched by the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Chadian Army, Nigerienne forces and the regional MNJTF troops under Abbah-Gana’s watch. PRNigeria also learnt that series of air raids and merciless operations by ground troops of the Nigerian military under Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO, a subsidiary operation in the North East, have eliminated many Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the Lake Chad region, even as other dozen terrorists and their families have fled the region. https://theeagleonline.com.ng/troops-kill-boko-haram-commanders-in-fresh-ambush-confusion-hits-iswap-camp/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=troops-kill-boko-haram-commanders-in-fresh-ambush-confusion-hits-iswap-camp |

Am very sure north easterner will be willing to pay any amount for peace to reign in their region by now. I won't be surprised if they actually kept silence or even cheers the militant up when the youth were picking up arms that year. |

QuietMynd:I've been saying so myself. He argued with me. When NA starts treating ESN like a terrorist organization, they would start crying foul. The annoying thing is that the harmless citizens would also suffer for the foolishness of some misguided youths. I've always said it, if Nnamdi KANU is a true leader, why isn't he leading on the front lines? why the hide and seek? Are any of his family members in ESN? But some chestbeaters are here urging them on. Okay... |

QuietMynd:When the Insurgency started the Kanuri's where very okay with it. As most of the attacks then in Maiduguri had a high target on Christians. Infact some Kanuri businessmen were paying Bokoharam to execute some Christians especially Igbo business men. Most Igbo businessmen sold off their houses at below 25% the cost price. Infact there is a place in Monday Market Called Baban Line where they sell electronics. Previously before Insurgency you can't see a Kanuri owning a shop there. They sponsored the BH guys to attack most businessmen on that line . Now that line is completely owned by Kanuri businessmen. The Igbos selling vehicle spare parts refused to leave they took up light arms and protected their shops ![]() Never start what you can't finish. Now Borno state is a mess |
