They must buy land and other inputs that are necessary to support their business. Aptly stated. Besides, how come all over the country this problem is happening at once? Why is every region experiencing same challenge with the herders right at about now? If it was spontaneous it wouldn't raise suspicion, but it is like an aggression from all fronts. I don't understand these people. They're still agitating for that RUGA bullshit. Why can't they do the right thing and let these herdsmen purchase the lands themselves. Highest they could do is to give them loans which the herdsmen would pay back at a later date. No state in the south would willingly agree to relinquish any of their lands to the same set of people that's been terrorising it all these years. If the government want to improve/modernize agricultural practices in this country, they should establish an agency for farmers and cattle rearers who would be able to apply for loans. They should manufacture mechanized equipments like tractors and harvesters for farmers. Do this and you wouldn't be breaching any of the laws that governs our freedom in this country. Other thing is this. If southern governor's are to gift fulani herdsmen lands down south then northern governor's must gift southern traders and farmers lànds up north. Fair is fair!
