Cattle business is a private business.
So,let the owners of the cattle acquire land through due process and have their ranching as it is done in advance countries of the world.
Farmers will have peace by then and that stone age mentality of breeding cattle through crazy nomadic culture will end.
They know what to do but they refuse to do it.
Do not bring ruga or any other land grabbing nomenclature, because it will be fiercely resisted.
We never know why government carry private matter for head?
Simple, copy better thing from Oyinbo wey we dey always copy about(ranching), Fulani people say,no!
Fulani people say dem must get any land by force.
Na only them dey?
Why people nor dey mention other ethnic groups as crazy.
If everybody cook give one person,
e nor go fit chop that food o_____ better african proverb.

No one will allow fulani to grab land across nigeria

Every rancher buys land to graze

Sell cattle and buy or lease land. You're not going to come from futa jalon to take my land in oyo, Benin or owerri

Land has been messed up in the North with no sustainability allowing the desert to encroach, now they're moving up south. Not gonna happen. Follow the route other ranchers follow world wide to acquire land legally and graze. It's a profit making business not a charity.

Has the poultry or piggery guy had any help from the governement? Absolutely not

There are no clashes between farmers and herdsmen, it's a one sided massacre of Nigerians by Fulani militia, Lalong should stop being politically correct and face the truth like Akeredolu has done

SOUTHERN NIGERIANS,BOYCOTT COW MEAT. It will make the Fulanis to leave us in peace and stop kidnpping, raping and killing our people, when they can no longer sell their cows here.
Our Governors in the south wouldn’t protect us since they have hundreds of police and soldiers protecting them and their families.
The Governors know what to do to end the Fulani killings, but they will not because they can lose their monthly security vote of more than #1 billion naira they collect monthly.

There is enough land in the north to accommodate whatever Livestock plans you have for the fulani herdsmen. There will be problem if anybody intends to give an inch of Odua land to some groups of murderous clan.

Cattle rearing is a private business and should be treated as such. It is not a national problem,it is the problem of those who are involved in the business. They must buy land and other inputs that are necessary to support their business. Any attempt to forcefully acquire land for private business of fulanis will be resisted with whatever means that's necessary.

Thee is no free land anywhere in Yoruba land and if anybody wants to foment trouble because of it,we are ready to reciprocate fully.

We are still left with the herdsmen/farmers problem.
The implementation of the National Livestock Transformation Plan will go a long way to address these issues.

The implementation of the plan would curb the farmers and herders clash, as well as the constant conflicts between herders and host communities.

Peace and more development us all we want in our nation.

God bless Nigeria.
Do it but Only in the north. Our religion does not allow for cow breeding/rearing in the south

I also heard that northern religion does not allow for pig farming too

Anything you're telling Buhari, make sure you're explaining it very well before he'll think it involves establishing ruga every where in the country. You know he behave like a herdsman too

My anger is the tag "Farmers/Herder Clash".
This is pure Herdsman problem. Once the law deals with herdaman's disregard for the country's laws, this problem will go away. But they deliberately turn blind are while calling a one-sided aggression "clash".
Have you noticed when heardsmen attack a community in Benue, plateau etc and vacate the indigenes turning them to refuges, the government does not act to chase out the heardsmen and put back the natives. But on the other hand when people like Sunday Igboho or ondo government gives headers quit notice for certain areas due to their antisocial activities, this same government comes out to shout, stating laws that all Nigerians are free to live any where in the country! This same government will inform you also that the headers and bandits killing are not Nigerians!
This same government will tell you the fulani hearders have no boarders and migrate with their cows. So we people ie Nigerians need passports to cross boarders, but the fulani and their cows don't need passports or visas, they are first class citizens.
In surmary, the earlier we know there is a gameplan playing out the better

Look at the nonsense these people are saying, imagine how are dragging their feet in an issue they know the solution is not skyrocket science.
Simple ranch your sickly and unproductive cows and they are here firing english as if we've not heard enough from bbc and cnn.

Farmers/Herders Clash

A situation where one deadly killer group of people are going round the country with cows killing and maiming innocent citizens authoritatively with zero consequence is tagged FARMERS/HERDERS CLASH.

If you have FSLC and still swallow this demonic narrative, go and collect your tuition to the last Kobo.
The first step in solving any problem is diagnosis. But here, we see that the Doctor is being mischevious by deliberately misdiagnosing the ailment to achieve his own omnious intentions.
No Farmer ever attacks a Herder that hasn't trespassed into his farm. And I don't think I have met a blind herder who can't differentiate between a farm and grass field. The herder is always the aggressor. The herder is the one with the problem of breaking the trespass law and should be clearly seen as such and law enforcement/justice applied accordingly.

STOP CALLING A ONE-SIDED AGGRESSION "CLASH".
Just leave the stupid people to keep deceiving themselves even one mbechile manna guy already tagged it herder farmer clash like how, the herders deliberately encroaches into their farm, they will complain and cry on top. Most times they don't even fight the herders, the headers starts killing the farmers just cos they complained to the authorities. They know the solution to all these but have decided to drag their feet. They should just continue.

I guess we need to have NATIONAL FARMING TRANSFORMATION PROJECT (NFTP) because what is good for the geese is also good for the ..... The nation can not survive without food and farmers . The end products from farming on a large technologicaly driven project can sustain the feeding needs of cattle, Besides Nigeria was first known for self sufficiency with farm produce before cattle rearing. Not to even talk about the oil sector. Ulterior motives definately hidden somewhere in between the lines

Aptly stated. Besides, how come all over the country this problem is happening at once? Why is every region experiencing same challenge with the herders right at about now? If it was spontaneous it wouldn't raise suspicion, but it is like an aggression from all fronts. All Nigerian tribes cannot just wake up one day and start accusing a particular tribe of being the reason for the so many skirmishes around. Besides, a revered leader just pointed out clearly to MACBAN that out of 10 kidnappers, statistics show 7 to be Fulani. This calls for concern and wholistic approach to diagnosing and treating the problem.

I don't understand these people. They're still agitating for that RUGA bullshit. Why can't they do the right thing and let these herdsmen purchase the lands themselves. Highest they could do is to give them loans which the herdsmen would pay back at a later date. No state in the south would willingly agree to relinquish any of their lands to the same set of people that's been terrorising it all these years. If the government want to improve/modernize agricultural practices in this country, they should establish an agency for farmers and cattle rearers who would be able to apply for loans. They should manufacture mechanized equipments like tractors and harvesters for farmers. Do this and you wouldn't be breaching any of the laws that governs our freedom in this country. Other thing is this. If southern governor's are to gift fulani herdsmen lands down south then northern governor's must gift southern traders and farmers lànds up north. Fair is fair!
Don't mind these people. They know what they are doing. There is an endgame to all these their drama. I only pity ignorant Southerners...

Our politicians are the problem in this country.
They managed to paint the genocide as "clash"so as not to offend some criminal groups and their backers.
Look at that igangan issue for example. With all the atrocities committed by that seriki, they're still looking for a way to bring him back to the place.

It's just like owning a shop and one morning you arrive to see a well known customer breaking into the shop. You raise an alarm and he stabs you.. You then report to the station and next thing the police call it trader/customer clash. WTF!!

I just dey shock for those people my bro, especially coming from Lanlong that his region is the most affected by the farmers/herders crisis because he wants to curry favor from Buhari.

I don't care if the policy sees the light in his region but they should not bother us with their usual noise of 'Yorubas are keeping quiet' when poo hits the fan.
