If you are a well informed Nigerian or investigative reporter. then you should know the facts and as you know, that facts do not lie.

The Nigerian government knows the truth that the deprivations being suffered by the host communities of the multinational oil companies in the Niger Delta region are not really responsible for the present violent unrest in the region.

The political contractors in power, in particular the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) and their accomplices in the Nigerian Armed Forces are fighting over the control of the oil wealth with their disgruntled political thugs and opportunists engaged in illegal bunkering and misappropriations of oil revenues and oil blocks.

Generals in the Nigerian Army, senior Naval officers in the Nigerian Navy and the major oil marketers have been engaged in illegal oil bunkering and illegal acquisition of oil blocks.

When the barges and oil tankers used by these criminals in the Nigerian Armed Forces and their civilian and foreign accomplices were exposed, The Guardian and other newspapers in Nigeria reported the news, but the PDP and the corrupt government soon distracted the attention of the citizens away from the arraingment and prosecution of these criminals.

A corruption scandal is rattling Nigeria's navy after officials revealed two vice-admirals and eight officers now retired are suspected of having been involved in contraband petrol trafficking in the oil-rich Niger Delta.

The new head of the navy, Vice-Admiral Ganiyu Adekeye, has told a parliamentary commission about the suspected illegal bunkering on ships under naval guard and how the ex-officers allegedly dipped into the lucrative trade, several newspapers reported.

"The retired officers were actively involved in illegal bunkering from their vantage positions in naval operations, knowing full well that the proceeds from illegal bunkering is a major source of funding for the operations of militants in the Niger Delta," Vice Admiral Adekeye said

[size=14pt] Nigerian navy arrests six vessels for illegal bunkering
The Nigerian Navy has seized six vessels suspected of involvement in illegal bunkering in Lagos area in the last six months, official said here on Monday.

Commodore Titus Awoyemi, Chief Staff Officer of the Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, said the suspects found on the vessels had been handed over to the Police.

He said the petroleum products on board the vessels were intact. "If you are found with crude oil without authorization, that is illegal bunkering," he said.

"When you are caught discharging fuel or taking fuel from one vessel to another, it is also an illegal activity," he added.

According to him, the Nigerian Navy had dedicated three vessels to policing the Lagos area.

What happened to the two Vice-Admirals and eight Naval officers?

What happened to the vessels used in illegal bunkering?
Who are the owners of these vessels?
How long have they been used for illegal bunkering offshore?

The Rivers State Truth and Reconciliation Commission is a political charade of the truth, a political parade of political hypocrites, political parasites and political prostitutes and a political masquerade of the partners in crimes. A waste of public funds.

When we can arrest and arraign and prosecute the military officers, illegitimate political usurpers and their accomplices in both the public and private sectors since 1979 to date and jail the guilty as other criminals have been jailed since the Amalgamation of Nigeria to date, then there would be a conflict resolution of the Niger Delta crisis. But until then, there will never be peace in the Niger Delta region and the rest of Nigeria.
The Nigerian government of the notorious ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) is only using the Nigerian Armed Forces to keep the status quo ante of their corrupt oligarchy

The only solution is to sack the corrupt ruling party from government and put all the identified corrupt military officers, corrupt public officials and their accomplices on trial to account for their crimes against the citizenry and the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

God bless Nigeria.
