Yes, its still better than anything Ive ever seen from Nigeria to be honest. They maybe be "slumpolio" but they have a thriving tourism industry, that should tell you something don't you think?...no offence but who dare travels to Nigeria, to see what?

Is Ebute meta, ajegunle, Ojo, iyana kpaja, okoko, oshodi etc not part of Lagos?

Let's be realistic Lagos is supposed to be far more better than these pics.

A. If I wanted to get rich quick, I will
move to Nigeria, an oil-rich country with
access to many customers in one
location.
If you are a large manufacturing
company, you would want to go to
Nigeria. You have access to 200 million
people. Sell 10% of your items to the
customers, and make one dollar on
each, and boom, you have got $20
million sitting in the bank. Quick and
easy!
B. But if I wanted to live in a very
organized country with less hustle, rule
of law, low levels of corruption,
business-friendly climate, and
accountability from government
institutions, I would go to Rwanda.
Easier said than done.

got yourself a deadly time bomb
right here. Trust me! I am Rwandan. We
have been there, done that. No bueno!
Poverty, tribalism, and identity politics is a
recipe for a disaster. It sounds like
another country I know too well before
1994. My home country, Rwanda. Nothing
good comes out of this combination. It is
bad & sad for business.
It is a cancer to any progress and the
wellbeing of the nation. Angola is the
same, but not as bad as Nigeria. If they
don’t change, they will get there someday.
By then, Nigeria is even going to be worse
[ These are not my words, but Nigerians]
I don't disagree with your assertions. I lived in Kigali for 6 months and it's a beautiful city considering post 1994 developments and Kagame's favorable policies.
Each of the aforementioned cities I visited have their unique vibe and beauty. But IMO, Lagos isn't close to them.
For someone who hasn't travelled outside Nigeria, then Lagos is beautiful or like the OP said " Lagos is Bae" because that's all their exposure. Imagine if the OP just went on vacation to Abu Dhabi and comes back to Lagos, perceptions of Lagos will change from a beauty or architectural perspective.

i understand you big time when i went to idumota today i won die crowded like hell my reason for respecting other cities is because of their progress lagos have not progress at all
Re: Who Said Lagos Is Not Beautiful? (Pictures) by Olumyco(m): 9:04pm On Feb 01, 2021
Lagos is beautiful but the issue is that the beauty is not well maintained. The infrastructures are not well maintained. There is too much pressure on those infrastructures. Imagine third mainland bridge, over 300,000 cars pass over that bridge in a day. How many city in Africa goes through that in a day? So in short much effort is required to maintain Lagos infrastructure for its beauty to come out. There is also lawlessness and too many people in the city.
For those that have gone round Lagos, you will all agree with me that the City in itself is beautiful but lack of maintenance and policy to control human and economic activities are what is defacing the face of the city.

By the time we add development to the yardstick , no city in Africa is ahead of Lagos except Johannesburg.

To me in terms of Beauty + development in Africa, the rank is like this:

1. Johannesburg

2. Lagos

3. Cairo

4. Nairobi

When talking about beauty solely without development (infrastructure) then we can say

1. Cape Town

2. Abuja

3. Algiers

4. Kigali

Ghettos in the USA have things Lagos can only dream of. Like central sewage, central water, covered sidewalks (zero open gutters), good and well defined roads etc

Ghettos are far ahead of Lekki and the likes. Dont kid yourself

Do you think tourism is all about seeing Giraffes and Ostrich? grin

Have you heard about business tourism and religion tourism?

That's what people comes to see in Nigeria and Lagos beat Kenya in that.
Bro, Nigeria has no thriving tourism industry... Let's not force the issue here. As for ostriches and girrafes..tourists have that in their zoos anyways. The fact remains, Nairobi beats Lagos hands down! And I'm not even Kenyan. Just pointing out facts

That Lagos religion tourism is nothing to speak about.(its all about those fake pastors duping gullible followers about miracles)

As for business the facts speak for themselves:

Nairobi airport handles far more passengers per year than Murtala Mohamed Airport.

Over 80 Global corporations and organizations have their African headquarters in Nairobi.

If Lagos is such a great business hub why do more regular airlines and cargo airliners fly into Nairobi than Lagos?

That's only fake Nigerian pastors duping gullible followers with fake miracles .Also Nigeria is known for lots of fake ritualists and voodoo. How many of your countrymen have so far died due to bloody ritualists?

That's very rich with irony coming from a country with fake fame of thriving religious tourism.

Livability is different from development. I agree Windhoek is more livable than Lagos.

What is development? You guys are so funny in Nigeria. So, buildings alone make up development?

Many cities in Europe don't have giant buildings but are way more developed than anything u can find in Nigeria.

The cities u mentioned in Africa, majority of them have stable electricity, access to emergency services, well organized traffic system, access to health care facilities, water supply, organized police system, etc. These are development.

Pls, don't mention Rabat, Cairo, to your list. These ones have solved some of the problems Nigeria as a whole is battling with.

Na true you talk. If you reach some part of Accra na so you go wonder if na d capital of the country you dey. Lagos meet the standard country capital of other African countries. Aside the 24/7 power supply Accra and Lag na mate. With Lag having better GDP self.

Accra and Lagos can't be mate. Accra is just ibadan with make up and government presence.
