I totally agree with the OP. The hypocrisy in Nigeria is mind blowing.

I disagree with you.

There is no over hype of the Silhouette Challenge. People are just stating the facts.

In future other depraving things will come and we will still talk about it.

While i understand the side you are coming from, it does not mean we should keep quiet about it.

Is just like saying the issue of indecent dressing is being over hyped. And we should worry about other important issues.

Does that mean we should do away with morality?
Morality don't increase GDP of a county or reduce unemployment undecided undecided

Why re you running to the most "immoral" country in the world to seek greener pastures

The guy is right - try right articles about level of decaydence and corruption in govt not to talk of tribalism and nepoticm - maybe we might leave a country for the coming generations we fear for.

huh

I guess you don't know how manipulative women can be, they use everthing around them to seek attention. If you encourage them on this one, tomorrow they may invent another challenge and probably tag it "semihouette challenge". Where they will now remove the dark shades and be left with clear picture of either only bra and no panties/underwears or only panties with no bra or top. #issoright.
And it's only women that do the challenge?

Let us just train our kids the way they should go so that when they grow older they will not depart from the ways of GOD.

I gave my life to christ at the age of 13 and I realize how difficult it is for me to leave his ways regardless of my imperfection.

Many parents are responsible for how their kids turn out in life cos they were reckless with them at their tender ages when they ought to have put them in the right path...

There is a certain stage children get to that it will be hard for them to learn new ways.
We owe the society an obligation to entrench decency as much as we can. Not to become indifferent to evil, trivialize it or dismiss it.

You said train your children . How can you do it effectively when the society is retraining them.

You think they will endure the evil that has been allowed to take root?

A little leven, leveneth the whole lump.

I'm not really pleased with the this your thread. It makes me feel something is wrong.

Ephesians 5:11-12 (KJV) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

I will emphasize the below scripture:

Lot was vexed by the unrighteousness around him.

2 Peter 2:7-8 (KJV) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)

I'm so baffled that people are raising issues concerning it and some are even mistaking it for another thing.

With all the troubles in the world, it is a dark shadow body outline that is now an issue.
Thank you.

One day those ladies will begin to walk naked and there will be greater issues to hype...

A perverse generation... you better repent and seek God.

It's the return of Noah's generation; and "as it was it the time of Noah..."

Train your kids whilst they are still very young. That's my point. When you do that, it will be very hard for them to be retrained by the society in a bad way

It's women that invented the game. Trust me when I say the women who invented it have ulterior motive (not as if I too care though). The men who joined them are either gay or gullible.

What are you saying?

Some were stark naked, maybe the one you saw.

Oh, you didn't see the one making out?
So, if a "Dick on attention" is covered with cloth in a red and dark background, you won't know?
Cloth don become condom wey dey take the exact shape of Dick.

Don't try to justify anything by saying they were not naked.

One thing you don't know about some challenges is, they are manipulative.

Go and read about the challenges some people killed themselves on. If some people can kill themselves either knowingly or unknowingly during the cause of a challenge, what is nak*dness to them?

You can defend your point all you like. Take the truth i told you because it's sacred.

You are a product of your environment. You cannot expose your children to immorality and nothing will go wrong.

Both children and adult, change except by divine intervention.

Must you view it?

After taking time out to view very well you now come out to condemn it.

Hypocrites everywhere.

Just ignore it and it won't be an issue... That is my message.

Unfortunately it's none of your business, I was taking it serious before but now I realised that it's just like porn, if you go looking for it, you'll find it, and those ones talking about morality and in those days, keep quiet, now will always be better than then. Like it wasn't worse then.

The word Silhouette means the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible in restricted light against a brighter background.

Recently the trend has been on Tik Tok and many ladies and even some men have taken part in the challenge but the reason I'm writing this is to show my disdain at the unnecessary hype it is getting with the rate Nigerians have condemned it and I began to wonder at the level of misplaced priority. Is it a shadow body image that is now our priority when there are more issues of serious concern.

Out of curiosity I went on TikTok to see and I was even more confused cos all I saw was 99.9% of ladies and men showing a shadow figure of their body in their underwear and not actually naked so why is this an issue if anyone decides to display a shadow image of his or her body?...and even if they are totally nude, I still wonder how a nude shadow should be given any hype when we see semi nude ladies in broad day light every single day. ladies and guys go to beaches and swimming pools almost naked so is it a dark image of a body that is now a problem?

I am not in support of nudity in any form but I don't think it is worth the hype they are giving to it ...There are more important issues to deal with than hyping a mere online challenge that will soon be forgotten.
Because Nigerians are a perverted lot and sex-centric. It is a really warped environment with misplaced priorities at all levels from the individual right up to the govt and leadership. Religion makes the matter even worse. The society is so engulfed with who is sleeping with who, when, where, how or who is wearing or showing what. It shows that in the next 25 years this cases will be our accomplishments whilst others are celebrating living on the moon.

There is an audience for almost stuffs, however I really don't get the fake pious-Ness, yet their fingers and eyes went to find the same materials they condemn.

Lie, when a child grows up, it is left with him to choose his own standards and norms. We really need to teach self realisation in our schools

Perhaps what triggers people the most is the red and black effect which comes off demonic?? undecided

Either which way, I think it's a stupid and senseless 'challenge' which gained unnecessary traction.
The bolded, sexually repressed poeple are easily triggered, hence the type of people wailing are religious extremist.
