What nonsense are you saying with your mouth
Do you think men and women are equal?
Do you think we be held to the same societal standards?
What rubbish angry

Is it the society's standard that matters or God's standard?

As an acclaimed Christian, you ought to know the answer.

Except if your Christianity is made in Naija.

Let us just train our kids the way they should go so that when they grow older they will not depart from the ways of GOD.

I gave my life to christ at the age of 13 and I realize how difficult it is for me to leave his ways regardless of my imperfection.

Many parents are responsible for how their kids turn out in life cos they were reckless with them at their tender ages when they ought to have put them in the right path...

There is a certain stage children get to that it will be hard for them to learn new ways.

Funny enough some of these parents had good home training/upbringing, but lost it when they had their kids by over-indulging them and allowing them to have their way, even when it is not right.

You cannot take proper upbringing from parents. Even churches, mosques and other religious centre cannot do what parents should do when home-training and instilling of moral values into their kids is concerned.

Must you view it?

Why take time out to view and the give hypocritical rant?

So viewing it now is bad, just like trying to download a movie and a porn pops up.

If people don't view it, how will they know what it contains, to ascertain if it is good or bad?

How do you know a good music, food, wine, clothes(sown by your tailor etc),car, etc?

When you are driving and along the way you saw half-naked women standing by the road side, do you close your eyes because you don't want to see them?
Or when you go to the beach littered with such ladies/women, are you saying you will close your eyes?
Just dey Decieveming yourself o.

Mr. Man, it is in the mind, either you view it to know what people are talking about(in this case) or you don't, everything boils down to the mind/thought.

The word Silhouette means the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible in restricted light against a brighter background.

Recently the trend has been on Tik Tok and many ladies and even some men have taken part in the challenge but the reason I'm writing this is to show my disdain at the unnecessary hype it is getting with the rate Nigerians have condemned it and I began to wonder at the level of misplaced priority. Is it a shadow body image that is now our priority when there are more issues of serious concern.

Out of curiosity I went on TikTok to see and I was even more confused cos all I saw was 99.9% of ladies and men showing a shadow figure of their body in their underwear and not actually naked so why is this an issue if anyone decides to display a shadow image of his or her body?...and even if they are totally nude, I still wonder how a nude shadow should be given any hype when we see semi nude ladies in broad day light every single day. ladies and guys go to beaches and swimming pools almost naked so is it a dark image of a body that is now a problem?

I am not in support of nudity in any form but I don't think it is worth the hype they are giving to it ...There are more important issues to deal with than hyping a mere online challenge that will soon be forgotten.
God bless you for this! With the needless misplaced uproar over the trend, I've had to go online several times to search for the so called videos eliciting so much condemnation from moralists. On repeat occasions, I found absolutely nothing unusual so I still can't place my head around the uproar.

Train your kids whilst they are still very young. That's my point. When you do that, it will be very hard for them to be retrained by the society in a bad way
You are so wrong, the home is the first level of training...in sociology, the society is considered after the home. Children do not develop in a cocoon of individualistic existence my friend. Broaden your perspective you will understand that the society plays a major role in the development of the child.

Just some normal shiiit.

When we dey even see live toto and ass on stages.

The keywords are "They featured", irrespective of their numbers, and some were "naked" while doing the challenge.

You think, if it is not for the public condemnation i.e negative reactions that followed it, more people won't participate in the challenge?

Is that a difficult thing to do?

This issue has opened my eyes to how shallow minded many Nigerians are and even the preachers cos to me that shilloette thing is as boring as anything.

I'm so baffled that people are raising issues concerning it and some are even mistaking it for another thing.

With all the troubles in the world, it is a dark shadow body outline that is now an issue.

Ogbeni, I think you're the one who's shallow minded here. Nudity is nudity, filtered or unfiltered. What's your problem gangan?

minus public condemnation I believe why the participation wasn't on the high side in naija was because many ladies didn't see it worthwhile doin it since it was not financially rewarding .who wan destroy im marriage or relationship just for a few instagram likes grin

Participate in what really?

Showing a dark body outline under a red dim light? Gosh!

There is something you all are missing
.. We are talking about a mere fun challenge that people do to make themselves happy and we are here bothering our heads...

The challenge is an innocuous one but it is the partakers that may take things too far just like any other game or act.

Even in churches some ladies wear very tight trousers that reveal their curves but does that make wearing of trousers bad?

The challenge is simply about a shadow figure and whilst some have their undies on which is very glaring, some may take it too far but that does not make the game a bad one.

Go to clubs and see how some ladies dress... In the same club we have decently dressed ladies and crazy ladies who lapdance but will you destroy the club because of that?

That is why I call it total misplacement of priority.

If you don't understand this then sorry.

There is no over hype of the Silhouette Challenge. People are just stating the facts.

In future other depraving things will come and we will still talk about it.

While i understand the side you are coming from, it does not mean we should keep quiet about it.

Is just like saying the issue of indecent dressing is being over hyped. And we should worry about other important issues.

Does that mean we should do away with morality?

I for say make you send your Aza but I no gęt money...

Very innocuous fun that developed countries are using to catch cruise.

No wonder why we are still a third world country..

The country that they believe is the headquarters of immorality are progressing whilst we the hypocritical wailers are still where we are.

See wailing over a mere silluotte that is as baseless and as boring as anything.

To think 99% had their underwear on but the perversed minds ranting here were meticulously searching for a completely nude shadow image.

They are even comparing unclothedness to silluotte.

You keep saying it is boring... What exactly do you mean? Is it until they remove that filter before you understand the image? It is an image of nudity. It is not a pictogram. It is a real person, standing naked in front of their cameras for the whole world to see.
Your initial argument is right—several ladies dress indecently and seductively, and we should condemn that. But, you can't say there's nothing wrong with the silhouette challenge.

God made us beautifully and if anyone displays a shadow form of his or her body there is no big deal in it.

Go watch again and if you must be sincere with yourself you will agree with me that 99.9% had their underwear on which makes it even better than the broad day light nudity we see everyday.

That few ladies took the challenge too far just as anything else can be taken too far does not make the challenge bad.

It is called silluotte challenge not Naked Silluotte... Read the meaning of Silluotte again to understand.

Go to swimming pools and beaches and you will see some ladies n guys with decent swimwears and you will also see some people that have taken things too far by appearing almost naked.

To think the thing is even dim yet people are wailing like this..

If this point does not sink then I give up.
