Please Help, How Can I Use This Mini Solar Panel by Weirdberg1: 4:30pm On Feb 02, 2021
Hi guys, I need help setting up this mini solar panel. I got it with the intention of using it to charge my phone and power Bank. But the panel has no usb port. Instead, it comes with a 5.5x 2.1 mm DC plug hole like in the picture below.
I have no experience using solar panels.
Does anyone have an idea on how to use it?

it is an 18 volts, 15 watt panel.

You need a dc to dc converter with it, you can buy from jumia.
But I'll advise to get a small battery with it, maybe 12v 18ah, or 12v 12ah.
You'll enjoy it with your phone for years

There are some dc converters that converts directly to 5v from solar panels too.

18v 15w panel is for charging a 12v battery.
You will need a 12v inverter. Most of the small inverters comes with lights/radio and multiple 5v usb ports for phone charging.
The smallest ones are about 13k on jumia and comes with solar panel similar to yours.
You could sell your panel and buy the complete set. (I haven't seen the inverter sometimes called solar lights being sold separately)

NO!
That inverter was made for cars.
It is designed to be fed from a battery and not from an 18v panel.
It doesn't even have a receptacle for you to plug in the solar panel.

This is what the proper complete pack looks like:

The alternative is for you to buy : 12volts battery (60 amps should be about 20k). and inverter of about 100 watts (another 15k)
This should power your phones, lights and even your laptop for minimal time.
OR
Buy a simple low capacity solar phone charger:

so these are all you need plus battery, the converter without usb is for charging your battery.

This is exactly what I want. I can connect the solar panel directly into this converter right? and the plug would fit.
can I use these without a battery? or a battery is Needed.

Well depending on your choice of module, but you can also cut away the solar connector and connect wires directly.

It can work without a battery.

For the solar system to function correctly, it is necessary to have a well-designed wiring diagram of solar panels. You will need a set of high-quality equipment capable of coping with the assigned responsibilities, and it will be better if someone who knows how to do it correctly does it. Properly installed solar panels will perform similarly in winter and summer. I applied for such services to https://colorviewfinder.co/solar-switch when I switched to solar energy for my house.

How much can I get a solar panel and battery that will power TV for 6 hours?

oyetpel:

I will assume your TV to be 32 inches LED with 60watts consumption (may vary).

12v 200 watts mono solar panel.
20 amps Pwm charge controller.
500 watts pure sine wave inverter.
75amps or 100amos deep cycle battery.
Cables (length will depend on installation position) and connectors.

Those are what you need. You can Google the items for current prices.

^^ link not working.
Generally, these compact solar stations are only useful for phones, fan and maybe a laptop IN THE AFTERNOON.
The battery capacity is usually low.
Battery capacity is critical.

The inverter is a Modified Sine Wave.
Simply not good
Type: "Modified vs Pure Sine Wave inverter" into google search and read further.
A 40ah battery doesn't give much storage.
Buy this only if you are desperate and cash strapped.

Would you recommend the saroda system or an upgraded version of the second one? Maybe a 100-200ah battery, 150w panel and the pure sine wave inverter? The charge controller looks like it's in order
