All RS485 cables are not thesame. At a minimum you need to spec your requirement for the non USB end of the cable - is it RJ45, DB9 or other proprietary jack?

I was not surprised the DIY inverter repair ultimately had issues. Some of these stuff one may only get right after a few false starts.

Do you still continue the fight with Victron? I really like the Deye but hope to see it gain more traction and also have solid after sales support locally.

My people screwed it up, so Deye is sending me a complete inverter.

The Vmax of 160W should be about 18V, and also your maximum PV voltage input of the CC should be at least 50V, so 2S1P is a better option.

My inverter battery is not charging. I noticed that once you power is connected to the battery is shows it fully charged within 2minutes but if you disconnect the power source from the inverter, it fails to back up. The problem is not from my inverter as i have tested it with another set of batteries and they are all charging properly.
What can i do?

What is the brand of the battery? How long have you been using it? Did the backup time gradually deteriorate/reduce on same load?

Started suspecting it from when I got it thought it was because of slight increase in load. It deteriorated gradually till it was very noticeable yesterday

But you didnt mention the battery brand, so that we can provide more informed responses.

Also, do you have an independent voltmeter connected to the battery with which you monitor the voltage of the battery at full capacity and after usage, just like the type in the pic below? I have realized that most the battery voltage indicated on inverters are usually higher than actual, hence the need for an independent one to get a more accurate reading.

Let us just be hopeful that your battery may be suffering from gross under-charging and it is not dead yet...

If the distance between the panels and d CC is significant, do a 4 panel in series( making it 2 sets) and parallel the sets. 4s2p.

Before you do 4s2p on your panels, how many volts are the panels itself. If it is 24volts each don't do 4s2p, you will end up frying your cc . I think your cc is capped at 150v.

In your case, I'll go with Olopan... 2S4P would be your best option
