haba Nerdie. This was my original post below. I was clear on what part of their play influenced my position, which clearly was lack of concentration.
Baloguns lack of concentration cost us against Madagascar and Ndidi's lack of concentration cost us against Algeria. Now I wonder why that never comes up on this threadhuh

Well... I would say 4-6 weeks. But taking into account that Football is no light activity, then it should be close to 6 weeks more or less.

andrewbaba44:
How long will it take him to recover fully after the surgery?

Good it’s 6 week

Glad it’s not up to 4 months as I was thinking

Do you know the meaning of top 5?
grin
France have who? Benzema doesn't play for them and Giroud is a bench player. So tht leaves Laka.

Belgium have Lukaku and who?

Spain have Villarreal's strikers and morata. Then who?

Brazil have who? Gabriel Jesus and FirmiNo grin

U are just a casual.
Where did you say top 5 or am I missing something? I just listed 9 names of English players with 9 goals or more did you not see that grin

Do you want me to go into other top European nations or are you not embarrassed enough?

Okay. I guess it was the "Aina is a mediocre" part that caught my attention and got it mixed up with the follow-up comment where you also classed him (an EPL starter) as synonymous with Nwakali. So we cool. No wahala. wink

I hope you guys can see the immediate impact a tactically offensive coach can have on a side.

In few weeks, Tuchel has transformed Chelsea to Chelsealona.

Rohr needs fifteen years.

TheGoodJoe:
You guys are always fond of missing the context of discussions.

The context is with respect to tactical play. Let me start with Bleacher Report's take on Guardiola and Mourinho.

Not only does Pep Guardiola have a better success ratio, his football philosophy is infinitely more attractive than José Mourinho's.

The Portuguese manager is famous for "winning ugly" with teams built on defensive solidity; he doesn't mind sacrificing entertainment for success.

Pep Guardiola is the polar opposite. As soon as he became FC Barcelona's manager, he made the club play the most beautiful football the sport had seen in decades. Fans and pundits alike have nothing but praise for Pep Guardiola's brand of football, which made Barcelona the most popular football club in the world.

Everyone wants to play like Pep Guardiola's Barcelona.

Not only does Pep Guardiola win, he wins in style. The same can't be said about José Mourinho.

Now let us reference Eto'o, a man who won the Champions League under both managers.

"As a coach, Pep prepares games like nobody else. How he coached us in 2009 was incredible, his way of seeing attacking football, control, having the ball, rondos, Pep was the best at that.

"They are specific techniques for those of us who love good football. For me, football is feeling like you're in a theatre, and seeing tiki-taka, passing the ball, it's not the only way to win but its special. It's Pep's way."

Mou is a top guy. The other thing is that he only cares about the result. It's his way of seeing football and in that sense he is the No. 1. Beating him at his game is impossible, you can never beat him.

From the above assertions, you can see Pep is about the display. And beautiful brand of display is where you get the tactical motifs. Mourinho is about the result and not tactical display.

Where people miss it is that it takes a lot of work and hard process to achieve the brilliant tactical display. Mourinho is not adept in it. Hardly cares for it. I believe it is slowly dying and if you watch the dynamics of the game from Hassenhuttl to Rodgers, with Scott Parker and Graham Potter, these coaches are working towards tactical dominance and Mourinho is still trapped in the old ways of things.

In this respect, Mourinho can not be placed above the tactical minds growing in the game.
Just a reminder. Mourinho is being played off-the-park by Tuchel.

This is why the English league is improving. They can buy the best coaches and brains in football
Now their players can learn a variety of tactics and learn different views of football

That's another up and comer. Nigeria probably has the best crop of strikers in Africa right now. Actually Africa is easy, I think we would be top 5 on the world stage.

Yes. Tuchel is making Chelsea look good. I am even impressed with the way he uses Aspilicueta as a midfielder during offensive combinations to break defenses. Never saw it in the light Tuchel is using.

This is basically what I have been saying about the NPFL. The coaching for the most part is not up to par so how can one really blame the players?

You can't blame the players. It falls down to the administration. Poor standard of play will only hide the qualities of the players.

It goes down to even our national teams. We need to start working towards high standards of coaching at all level of Nigerian football.

A train the trainers program and multiple workshops will go a long way.

Finally investing in good playing surfaces.
