Subzero047:What about Foden? Foden has proven to be one of city's best players this season. Without KDB, I think it should be Gundogan/Foden/Fernadinho for me, don't really fancy Rodri |

Henry Onyekuru is Galatasaray’s poster boy for today’s famous Istanbul Derby at Fenerbache with fans bullish the Nigeria star could conjure the magic to beat their fierce city rivals, like he did a year ago. Onyekuru endeared himself to the ‘Gala’ fans when he scored a goal and provided an assist in a 3-1 win at their rivals on February 23, 2020. Playing in front of over 45,000 fans, ‘Gala’ fell behind after just 21 minutes, before they fought back with Onyekuru supplying an assist for them to lead 2-1 and he then scored the third goal deep into stoppage time. Onyekuru boasts of a good personal record against Fenerbache – two goals in three matches. He has also not finished on the losing side in the derby – a win and two draws. In addition, the AS Monaco loanee has scored three goals in two matches since his third coming and Galatasaray have also won their last four league games. Against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday, Onyekuru posted the highest shots at goal – 9. He touched the ball 71 times, achieved 89.7 percent pass rate, won 11 duels and touched the ball 9 times in the opponent’s penalty area. Today, he will be up against Nigeria-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, who marked his Fenerbache debut with a brilliant assist in a 2-1 win at Hatayspor. Fenerbache lead the table with 48 points from 22 matches, three points ahead of closest rivals Galatasaray. They have won their last three league games. |

Odion Ighalo is set to make his debut for new Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab tonight after he trained fully with ‘The Lions’. Al Shabab are away to Al Raed, who are 12th on the table and two points above the relegation zone. ‘The Lions’ will need to win to reclaim top spot after rivals Al Ahli toppled them from the summit of the table yesterday. On Thursday, Ighalo, 31, completed his 2.5 million Euros transfer to the Riyadh club after his loan deal at Manchester United ended and parent club Shanghai Shenhua allowed him to discuss a transfer with Al Shabab. He has signed a contract for two and half years and he is expected to help Al Shabab to win the championship after they last did so in 2012. |

Wilfred Ndidi is among eight players nominated for Leicester City's Goal of the Month award for January 2021, informs the Foxes on their official website. The Nigeria international made the ten-goal shortlist for his effort in the Foxes' 2-0 home win against Chelsea in the Premier League on January 19. Ndidi had gone 477 days without a goal before ending his drought against Chelsea, and it was worth the wait, as he netted a spectacular goal , thumping the ball home in off the far post with his weaker left foot following a short-corner routine. Strikes from James Maddison (2), Youri Tielemans, James Justin, Harvey Barnes, Natasha Flint (2), Charlie Devlin and Thanawat Suengchitthawon are also up for Leicester City's Goal of the Month prize. Since joining Leicester City four years ago, Ndidi has tallied nine goals in 155 appearances across all competitions. The Nath Boys product has not figured for the King Power Stadium outfit since the 1-1 draw with Everton on January 27 due to injury but is nearing a return to fitness and will be assessed by the club's medical team before the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. |

Arsenal have submitted their updated squad list to the Premier League following the close of the winter transfer market. Twelve players eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams have been included on the roster. They are goalkeepers Arthur Okonkwo and Ovie Ejeheri, defenders Ryan Alebiosu, Mazeed Ogungbo, Tolaji Bola, Zachariah Awe and Daniel Oyegoke, midfielders Tim Akinola and Miguel Azeez, strikers Folarin Balogun, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Joel Ideho. The aforementioned players have been registered as U21 players (contract and scholars). For the sake of clarity, U21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad, and for the 2020-21 campaign U21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 1999. None of the players of Nigerian descent have made their debuts in the Premier League but majority of them have been invited to train with the Gunners first team. Manager Mikel Arteta has taken both Okonkwo and Bola to Premier League games as the extra player in case of injuries to players included in the matchday squad. |

you and your goalpost shifting. you cheekily mentioned top 4 European league because you know Awaziem played in France but forgot he played in Spain anyway na your way sha. How will Ebuehi play when he was injured for most of these past two years? If you read my post objectively instead of wanting to argue in your usual way you saw that I said I prefer Ebuehi for his overall defending this is based on what my korokoro eyes has seen and not whether someone plays somewhere or not. It's not by force for you to agree. forgiveness: |
