She stole it herself and was using it. No 3rd party involved here. Buying stolen phones is a big reason you should not buy used phones. The trouble that may come with it will not be worth it!

That's one major problem here on Nairaland. Youths commenting without reading or reasoning. Did you not read where it was said that the thief stole the phone and hid it when the staff of the business center were searching for it?

Buy a new phone that you means can get & not wanting a sophisticated phone when you know you don't have the means to get it.
