Spot on Kemi.

I fully concur with number 2 because I am familiar with that terrain. BDC business is gonna pick up fully again.

This man is hell bent on destroying other people's livelihood just to enrich his tribesmen.

[quote author=RiyadhGoddess post=98788842]Na wa ooo. Just when I was considering going into this bitcoin thing that's when the govt banned it eh
No one is stopping you..
CBN didn't ban crypto currency business; it banned only the banks from participating. And that is the same thing obtainable all over the world. For obvious reasons, all countries central banks stay away from the business, direct their commercial banks to do same, as well as warn their citizens to be wary of the crypto currency business. The reasons are obvious. No government can keep track of the business or movement of the coins, and as such it could be used to fund terrorism, promote money laundry, as well as be used to commit other intractable financial crimes. It also affects the traditional government/banking system, and every government is keen on protecting the banking system. This isn't perculiar to Nigeria.

CBN is part of the International federation of banks, and is guided by international operating principles. How has it erred by directing banks to stay off the crypto business?

This same ban has been in place since 2017; it didn't stop you from operating.

What CBN did today was to simply remind banks that the order made in 2017 is still subsisting today. It is not a fresh order.

Grace001:
It’s a directive to suffer southern Nigeria youths

What most of us don’t know is that, the fact that Southern youths are getting liberated financially is a threat to these Nigeria heartless and wicked leaders

Unlike Southern youths counterpart up north. The northern youths don’t tap into this opportunities that comes with online businesses etc.

So the idea of this good for nothing useless Nigeria government is to frustrate the Southern youths because if Southern youths are financially liberated they won’t be able to manipulate them like they do with the northern youths

Think!!!
People don't believe that there is a deliberate effort by Nigeria's Satanic elites especially the Northern elites to make sure the people are not economically liberated. So they can be perpetually manipulated and vulnerable to maintain the status quo.

I couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately only few are seeing things from this angle.

It’s a deliberate act to frustrate masses and make sure they live on poverty. A liberated southern youths is a threat to them to keep the status quo, they already knows how to manipulate their northern youths because they have rendered their lives useless.

Although I don't do Bitcoin so I might me wrong, but I don't see anything to worry because the FG only banned banks from engaging in crypto transactions not banning the whole business, so I personally think you can use PayPal, payoneer and the likes to trade, then you transfer to your naija bank.

You spoke mind

When we no longer have naira>BTC, BTC>naira, we will have usd>btc, BTC>usd, naira becomes unuseful hence bigger collapse, but we have zombies in the govt sector, they don't understand.

Countries are regulating to complement there currencies, Nigeria is banning.

Buhari clearly wants to finish Nigeria

Ban on crypto would increase demand for forex and that means dollar hitting 600 naira

This woman is an olodo. How are abokis losing dollars when CBN has told banks to pay dollar deposits in dollars? You would have to go to a BDC to exchange your dollar for naira.

I cry for our parents

I cry for our children

Federal Government feels the youth are threats since that protest and since then they have been holding board meetings all because of the youths. If they can pay our flight to other countries they will happily do so..Anyway their actions on how they treat us will trigger to the end of this old age Nigeria bad government... This is the beginning they will do things that will make the world support the youths against this vampires
I cry for what is coming to us
