This country is filled with lots of unserious people, just imagine a nation that can't beat his chest and proudly say they've celebrated 1 full day of uninterrupted electricity, is now unveiling an electric car. Always putting the cart before the horse.

This car is not meant for the masses, definitely not meant to be taken to your village. Hard to believe but there are parts of Nigeria with stable electricity. Who ever owns this car will own other cars for daily use.

This is not the first electric car in Nigeria, i have seen Daimler AGs Smart fortwo electric car in both Lagos and Abuja.

The most important thing is that this development will create jobs and introduce specialized skills. It will put money into pockets and make some families happy.

The unveiling of the ‘Hyundai Kona’ vehicle took

Electric Vehicle assembled in Nigeria by

Jelani Aliyu,MFR, invites the general public to the
grand unveiling of Hyundai Kona, Nigeria’s first
Locally Assembled Electric Car, which will be
followed by a road show across the city.

“Of Abuja. Catch up with us at the following
locations: Silverbird Entertainment Center, Banex
Plaza, AYA junction Asokoro, Transcorp Junction,
National Assembly and Federal Secretariat.”

During the first presentation by Stallion Motors in
November 2020, Anant Badjatya, chief executive
officer of the company, said “the vehicle can
travel 482 km after 9.35 hours of charging”.
