This is why I don't like our players signing for astronomical amounts because it puts enormous pressure on them. Anyway, all hope isn't lost and aside of chances that he misses, he is very impactfull. I hope he comes good

Who did the rating? Besides, the comparison was not done this season though Sharktar Donetsk still ranks far above Leicester city.

Please, let us be consistent with the standard of measurement here.

if he can substitute goaless impact for tap in goals, I would be very much happy, Napoli didn't buy him for impact and presence.

Rivers players were fatigued in their last 2 matches. Then the LMC has stylishly given Enyimba 2 days of rest seeing that they play all the way on Monday. it won't be open and closed so easy

grin you and your goalpost shifting. you cheekily mentioned top 4 European league because you know Awaziem played in France but forgot he played in Spain anyway na your way sha. How will Ebuehi play when he was injured for most of these past two years?

If you read my post objectively instead of wanting to argue in your usual way you saw that I said I prefer Ebuehi for his overall defending this is based on what my korokoro eyes has seen and not whether someone plays somewhere or not. It's not by force for you to agree.
French league quality is very low though it is among the top 5.

However, suspecting a player's defensive ability even after playing and winning individual laurls in the Seria A is nothing close to being objective.

Tbh he played a part when he came on, he stretched the defence and contributed to the goal they scored but the Napoli team was awful to watch, they had no idea how to progress the ball to the strikers, Genoa even got bored and went on the offensive grin

Them suppose remove that "P" cos there is nothing professional about the league
A league where clubs keep recycling players among themselves....how can you sell your key players to ur main rivals not even one but two...that club is just living off past glory shikena!!

Nawa you dey talk as if the statement na curse, if you watched their match today you'll know it's true, they play an absolutely awful type of football and there is no coordination within the team

I can't remember the last time I watched a team struggle to get the ball pass the half way line it was that bad grin

I have added some metrics here. Of course you can add to these of you like. Shakhtar Donetsk got their 'financial doping' about 25 years ago and have since then won 90 percent of their titles and recognition. Their business model is speculating on and buying young Brazilian talent with the hope of selling on for huge profits. They are the true definition of the phrase 'local champions' cheesy

Leicester on the other hand hardly have any history of note but are on an upwards trajectory with a sustainable business model and commited owners. Unfortunately they play in a league where there is low ceiling blocking sustained upward mobility. If they played in a different league (like the Ukrainian league) they would have a much stronger chance of consistent success and building pedigree.

My summary is there isn't much to choose between them at the moment BUT if I was a player with a choice to make I will join today's Leicester before I joined Shakhtar Donetsk.

It's not just me saying so the table does as well.

Last year Enyimba let go Mfon Udoh and before that the late Chinedu Udoji. They still won titles without those guys.

You will join Leicester because of more money and a better league

Many players will choose to join west ham than Porto so does that makes west ham a better team than Porto ?

This is all not about money. Not sure how you reached that conclusion. Many players will join Porto rather than West ham bro. Remember Dimitri Payet? He went on strike to force a move away from West Ham to Marseille! Marseille is on the same level as Porto if not even a slightly smaller club.

You are right about the better league part though. As an ambitious player I will rather face the likes of Spurs, Everton, Man Utd, Chelsea etc on a weekly basis than the prospect of fighting it out with Metalist Kharkiv, Zorya Luhansk, Mariupol and Dynamo Kiev....and my local derbies being against Olimpik Donetsk! grin

Wouldn't you? I'll ask you this, for the same wage if you had a choice between playing for Leicester city or Shakhtar Donetsk which would you pick?

This debate reminds me of naija fans that think Super Eagles are better than England because England haven't won't anything since 1966. Very funny.

Payet was simply home sick nah ,he even rejected more lucrative offers to return home ,west ham was even willing to pay him higher but dude refused

We are still saying the same thing ,me calling England a better league and you calling better English teams ahead of those Ukrainian teams

For the same wage I will choose shaktar Donetsk

If players can reject Chelsea man united for the Chinese league then it will be so easy to reject Leicester for a shaktar Donetsk with higher wages and playing in the champions league grin

Super eagles are never better than England in Any day

The question was directed to nerd to point out his double standard.

No intention to debate between Sharktar Donetsk and Leicester city.

However, Sharktar Donetsk reached Europa League semi final just last season. Not forgetting they won UEFA cup in the same 21st century.

Does that sound like local champion to you?

Hahaha na so. I think we have agreed on one count. But my guy although Shakhtar Donetsk are a decent club they not as attractive a prospect as Leicester City for players, coaches and investors alike. Trust me.

I remember when Julius Aghawoha moved there from Esperance Tunis in 2000 or so that was the first time I had ever heard the name Shakhtar Donetsk and people were angry he left Esperance for them. Imagine that.

The only reason Leicester would be more attractive than Shakhtar Donetsk is because they play in the premier league
