The clause of the act is that you seek to attain permanent residency within one year of becoming current, if not you won't get it. Immediately you go through the above process and ncv accept your claim you need to act fast. After seeking to attain permanent residency your age become locked in. The surest way to seek to attain permanent residency is to fill your ds260 asap, then you can seat back and wait for your final action date to become current. Time is of essence .

When welcome letter came in October 2017 for he and my sister, they automatically placed him in f2b because he had aged out. After confirming that he had little more time with cspa, we called nvc and made them aware that he was eligible under cspa ( that is you challenging them). We initially went to a lawyer that told us nothing can be done, that was when we started making our research. It was at nvc they gave us the procedure to write them which we did. They responded after six weeks and confirmed that he was protected under cspa. So subimition of document followed swiftly.

Lucky him. They approved my petition after about 5 months but after using the calculator, I was 21 yrs and 4 months. They automatically put me in F2B.

I keep trying to log into the ceac account with the details in the welcome letter. It keeps bringing out some error message. Please who knows what this means and what to do about it?

Connect to any free VPN and try again. Or change to another network. Sometimes MTN makes the site pop-up that error...

Remain married. You have added like six more years to your wait time. F3.

F2A is for spouses and minor children i.e younger than 21?

Are you sure it wasnt F2B which is for unmarried adult children of LPR

And if it was F2B then your petition is no longer valid because there is no category for 'married adult children' of LPR (green card holders)
Your mum would have to resubmit her petition when she becomes a US citizen then she'll file for you as F3 (married son or daughter of a US citizen)

The mom doesn't have to resubmit anything. Whether she becomes a USC or not, the married child is in F3 because of the marriage.

There's no such thing as a category for married sons and daughters of LPRs. F3 is for married sons and daughters of US citizens.

Nope you're wrong.
F3 is for married sons or daughters of USC
there is no category for married sons or daughters of LPR
If his mother does not become a USC then she can not file for a married son or daughter
LPR can only file for unmarried sons or daughters, spouses and minor children

Guyz please assist, My PD is 2016 Sept in the F1 Category, but yet recently asked to provide DNA sample and other documents as proof of relationship with my petitioner (dad)

The visa bulletin date for F1 still at Sept 14, what does this mean?

I wasn't asked to submit DNA but I've always wondered what I'll need to prove the relationship with my mother.

I have some questions based on this your list please

1. A Sworn Affidavits ( 2 or more )- what is supposed to be the content?

2. Medical Records- what exactly should we get?
3. School Records- what exactly should get
4. Vaccination Records- I have an immnisation card, what is it supposed to show to prove this
5. Religious documents- documents like? What exactly should we get?
6. I have pictures

Any other suggestions? She doesn't send me money.

Go here https://www.immihelp.com/second-evidence-birth-certificate-usa-greencard/
All the explanations you need are there.

Just navigate through the site.
But be rest assured USCIS will request for the documents they want from you, if there is any need for it.

The mom will alert USCIS of her naturalization. The married daughter goes into F3. The mom doesn't have to refile. Resubmission means new app, new fees and new pd. Not true!

Mostly likely there will be retrogression on something categories that has moved beyond the bulletin time line... But this will be done in April .... When the March 31st visa suspension ends....

Good morning all,

Has anyone been scheduled for immigrant visa interview in Lagos in recent times? Is the embassy even working?

If she is LPR when she files for her son when she becomes USC she informs USCIS then her son has to remain single during that process, It is if the son or daughter gets married after she becomes USC that they simply upgrade his category to F3
Lots of people choose to remain single because they don't want to elongate this process whilst others are fine with a longer wait time and go ahead with their plans.
If you disagree ask on visajourney - I can assure I have checked this out
There is a clear difference
Thats why He is asking if He should declare he is single

To the original poster
If you want to declare that you're single please note that when your case becomes current you can only file for your children not your 'spouse' and it will take awhile to then 'marry' her again then file for her as spouse. Keeping up that lie would be a challenge

The original poster can't claim single when she is not. Drop this Naija way! There is a consequence. She knows this now that extra more years will be involved. Just be happily married sis and F3 IS A DOWNGRADE NOT AN UPGRADE WRT MORE WAIT-TIMES.
Again, she is forcing her mom to naturalize in order to have her moved to F3. I maintain, her mom will only inform USCIS of her naturalization and provide the required documents. She won't be reapplying or refiling for her married daughter.
