Hello All,

Really happy to see the good news of PPRs since this year and this Thread 18 began. Long may it continue!

My colleague who left for Canada in January requires information on how to go about SOWP for his wife and family in Nigeria. I'll appreciate any information that can be of help from the gurus and anyone else who might have such information.

Thank you and enjoy the new week.

I think there should be a thread for SOWP, there's really no much discussion/information about it here. @Justwise what do you think? wink

Once the MBS is sent from your internet banking or the bank to the Canadian embassy, you will be given a print out which contains the ticket ID and password, this can also be sent as an email attachment. This printout or attachment is what you upload in the space provided for that on your profile. Another alternative is sending it via webform. All the best!

Rootiab:
when I sent mine, I sent plus the password

Hello everyone. Please does this request means I have chances of getting approved or?

Hello everyone. Please does this request means I have chances of getting approved or?
This NSE request is a new method newly introduced by the embassy for easy access to bank statement submitting it doesn't really guarantee the approval cuz they will still do their eligibility reviews normally irrespective of whether you submitted it or not so it depends on you passing the eligibility and not the NSE some people that submitted still got refused while some approved and even some who didn't respond to it still got approved
Rootiab I can notice you can getting too agitated and anxious over this process you need to calm down you have done your own due process why not hand it over to God and remove your mind while you pray for the success being anxious won't change anything!!! So keep calm and pray!!!

Nice one Awys. The same way you were so anxious few days ago about the outcome of your application. Wow, You have already forgotten the pains/sleepless nights waiting for IRCC decision. God has remembered you and He will remember Rootiab, Me and everyone still waiting for positive decision.

I have gotten a reject before, and Today I start putting together documentation for a new application.

I have already paid in 10K CAD to my school / University of Regina BSC

I have 11k USD transferred into my Dom account from my sponsor *his account from europe / relative from my mum side.

He is also planning to transfer 5million to my naira account plue 2million in my fix.

I hope this is good enough for POF.

Thanks

@Onweke yes sure he will remember everyone I know it's normal wanting to know but if it's being excess is not really good thats what I mean I wanted to know my outcome because I have a deadline to pay my fees for February 15th as my school didn't ask for any deposit to reserve seat it's your LOI they use to reserve seats and it's first come first serve once the number they want for that course is full they either give you another course if possible or you defer or you withdraw and me I wanted this May intake and avoid the deferral and I wanted to know my outcome before I make commitment if my seat was reserved I won't be bothered until IRCC decides to gets back so hope my explanation helps!!!.

Thanks for the swift response bro. You have an idea if submitting MB Statement alone without ielts could still effect the NSE route?
Yteem:

No negative impact at all to the best of my knowledge.

Just wait and your application will be processed normally.

You are so helpful. Thank you so much @Lekiboboe.

I am actually asking for my friend and she has sent in many webforms, the latest was today. I hope they answer soon. It's gotten so worrisome and exhausting.

Thank you once again for your response.

Lekiboboe:

You are welcome

Like I said initially, AIP ended September 15, 2020, except they have started the AIP method again which am not aware of.

All application done after Sept. 15 ,2020 till now is going through the normal processing.

An applicant who submitted his Application on October 2020 and has done Medicals (Upfront or Medical request) and have not gotten a response from IRCC till now should send webforms and mails to IRCC to enquire about his Application (for expedition purpose), cos his Application has passed Normal Processing Time. (The Present processing time now is 13 weeks).

It is very risky & not advisable to start an online class when you haven't gotten PPR, cos once you start classes your Tuition will start counting and if anything happens otherwise (God forbid), the school will not refund back your money

Infact, during the period AIP was trending last year (August 5 to September 15, 2020), due to some uncertainty, those with AIP were scared of start classes online cos no one knows what IRCC was up to

Good afternoon everyone. Under background information.2nd question, option C, which state "have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada" What should I answer ?

I was refused visa in 2019.

Hello,

Please I would want to know if one could use student loan as proof of funds and what are the chances of its success?

I've seen several people ask this but it's been ignored.

Please I would really appreciate a response.

Please state any and all refusals in the required sections or you risk being rejected or outrightly banned for five (5) years.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by TheShaman: 2:46pm On Feb 08, 2021
For your specific question, you're to choose Yes as your study permit application earlier refused was still for legal entry into Canada.

How about the very first one which states.

"Have you ever remained beyond the validity of your status, attended school without authorization or worked without authorization in Canada"

I am asking these questions because I don't want to make mistake. Please.

The right answer should be ;
1. No
2. Yes
3. Yes

Under the reason, you don’t need to explain, you can just write “Study Visa refused + date refused + your UCI and application number.”

Has anyone here successfully paid the 10,000CAD for GIC? How did you pay?

For CIBC, fill the application details on the banks website. A payment instruction will be generated for you, take it to your bank for the transfer.
Ensure your dorm account is funded with the required amount in one of the acceptable currencies. Also, the funds must be transferred from the applicants account (not sponsor or any other person on applicants behalf).

Please I am yet to start applying for anything.
I wanted to start from the first thread but got overwhelmed by the information.
At this point, I know little.
But let me specify what I know first so someone can guide me.

I have my international passport.
I have my certificate and statement of results.
I use a GTB bank
I have my transcript (student copy).
I am not financially buoyant so, I can't afford a lot of things (especially the tuition fees for Canadian universities I see online).
I know that I do not need to have much money in a block account since I can easily submit my bank account statement (please correct me on this if I am getting it wrong).

After this, please how do I get from this point to becoming a student studying masters in Canada (hopefully on scholarship). I want to pursue a master's program (or PhD if possible) in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
Please when should I start applying? what should I apply for first? How do I get scholarship or funding?

From these you can tell then I'm at the 'A' point and can't navigate my way through 'B','C',... To 'Z'.

Please itemise the responses according to timeline so I can get the image then I can easily ask more specific questions based on the different stages.

Please don't direct me to previous parts of the thread. The information didn't feel live.

Thanks.

I want to believe that POF means 'proof of funds'.
I am brand new in the discussion so please forgive my ignorance.

Would you still need to submit some funds after submitting your bank statement (which I believe iss the proof of funds).
Please clarify me.
