While everyone has been looking forward to the revealing of a European Antichrist, I stumbled on Joel Richardson's work during my study, and I began to wonder about the possibilities of an Islamic Antichrist. The following is an excerpt from the series I started about this topic;

My point is this:
- I believe the future Antichrist will be Muslim.
- I don't believe it was a coincidence that there are only three monotheistic religions on earth, and two of them are similar (Judaism and Christianity), while the other is in direct opposition to the other two though they claim to worship the same God.
- I believe the church might be making a mistake in their eschatology, and it could prove costly eventually.

I couldn't read what you wrote.Im kinda sleepy, but the antichrist is more than a person or a religion. it's a system and idea that negates the institutions of God. This system could come in form of a person , religion, movement, party or popular opinion etc but all of these are just expressions of this system called Antichrist.

The Bible doesn't say that about any Antichrist.
1 John 4:1-3
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. That's the major criteria for the Antichrist to fulfill.

While yes, the Bible says something about Antichrist systems that operate with an Antichrist spirit, the Bible specifically states that a PHYSICAL PERSON (FLESH AND BLOOD) will come in future called the Antichrist, who will oppose all that Jesus stands for.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that MAN OF SIN be revealed, the SON OF PERDITION;

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

I could go on. There are A LOT OF PROPHECIES ABOUT A PHYSICAL, FLESH AND BLOOD, ANTICHRIST in Daniel and Revelations 13.

Rev 6:2 is not about the Antichrist.

Do a deep dive of the original language and stick to scriptural hermeneutics and you will see that this idea of it being the antichrist is wrong.

There is nothing to even show that the first rider is the Antichrist.

There are two people with the epithet "Messiah" in Islam. The Messiah of guidance which is the son of Maryam and Ad-dajjal, the Messiah of doom and misguidance. Both were given the power to do great miracles and Jesus son of Maryam was to guide his people. The Dajjal or Antichrist is a liar that will misguide many with miracles like bring rain, reviving vegetations, etc. Many Jews, Persians, Turks, ignoramuses and women will be decieved. He won't be able to enter Makkah and Madinah!

Thanks for your contribution. The OP opined that the antichrist could be a Muslim. However, even among the two major Islamic groups: Sunni s and Shites differ in your analogy. One set believes that that Al - dajjal, would be an Israeli with a funny shape. The other, believes it is just a system or symbol. I know you as a Muslim know more ( I can really say because I have read or watched many documentaries) to say I know more than you, a devotee of Islam. I know you must belong to a sect of these. So, you have given your own leaning. The OP also has given his own side being influenced by a write up, not necessarily his denominational leaning.
In my own opinion, the antichrist could be from any race and creed. The Bible says he will not regard any object of worship but empowered by Satan to doing signs and lying wonders.

Satan is the sower of the Antichrist movement {Matthew 13:25} he wants to use the politician's logic that says "if you can't beat them, then try to lead them".
Satan sow this weed in other to outwit the real followers of Christ and lead them towards the other direction. Jesus said there are just two roads one narrow and difficult to ply leading to life, few are the ones FINDING it. But the other road is wide and spacious leading off to destruction, and countless many are going through it. Matthew 7:13-14
The narrow way belongs to Satan and his demons {Revelations 20:10} so in other to gather more souls to join them in their doom, Satan and his demons established thousands of religions IN JESUS NAME, the reason why it's called the broad road is because it allows for travellers on this road to switch from one lane (sect) to another yet all those on this road will still count such person as one of them since it's all IN JESUS NAME. But the narrow road is not like that everyone must keep his/her feet straight on the path so no chances of switching lanes because it's just one single lane.
So how do you IDENTIFY those on the broad or narrow road?

There is no idea of an anti christ in judaism as jews dont consider jesus of any importance. It is even forbidden yo mention the name of a false god or an idol.

When they sin, God punishes them , when they repent and forsake their evil ways God prospers and blesses them.

God promised to send them a messiah that will deliver them from their enemies, gather them from the corners of the world to their ancestral land. And bring peace to the world....by ending all wars and oppression...That has not happened. We all are anxiousely waiting for that to happen. The jesus the christian are worshipping dont have any connection to God whatsover..God never said the messsiah will be divine or will be part of a triune god. Those ideas are absurdities.
So God the creator of heaven and earth is Anti christ, All the things jesus stands for is totally against what God has destined..

The will of God is for all creatures on this planet to be at peace with one another no animals will feed on flesh anymore {Isaiah 65:25} humans will be in control of all the animals either great ones or tiny insects, they will all become obedient to humans {Isaiah 11:6-9} but first there must be peace amongst humans! Antichristian is an adjective while Antichrist is a noun. I'm antichristian not an antichrist.

Every symbol, colour, number in the bible has a standard meaning as defined and applied throughout scriptures.

Examples

White = Good/purity/Holy

Beast = Devil

Red = sin/evil

7 = perfection

17 = restoration

Diadema = rulers crown

Stephanos = overcomers/saints wreath or crown.

Lampstand = Church or prophets

E.t.c.

Now go study that passage in the original language and apply the meanings of the symbols you see as defined in the bible.

The Antichrist is mentioned later as a beast with a diadema not a stephanos.

I wonder how the Antichrist will be wearing a saints crown on a white horse and speak with the words and authority of Christ.

I disagree with your position. The chief reason for doing so is that I believe what the Bible says. I believe completely that the Bible is the truth, so I don't allow for any contradiction of its position. I also don't listen to any addition to what it says, even if the addition is thought to not contradict what it does say.

Since you are working out a theory of Eschatology using all sorts of sources outside the Bible, why am I engaging you? That would be a reasonable question to ask. The reason is that you are actually trying to explain biblical Eschatology. The Antichrist is a biblical concept, after all. So, you're on Christian turf.

My response then begins there: You are trying to explain a biblical concept using foreign philosophies and paradigms. That is patently wrong. It will simply not succeed at explaining a biblical position.

The next thing that I would point out is that Eschatology is the most advanced doctrine in the Bible. It is actually impossible to understand it without first understanding everything else that the Bible teaches. This is the biggest reason that there are all kinds of theories -- many of them completely hare-brained -- about it. Discussing Biblical Eschatology then is a very difficult thing to do. There are so many moving parts that the teacher will have to establish many fundamental principles in the heart of the listener before he can even get into the doctrine itself. In other words, this discussion that you have asked for is the kind that often goes nowhere fast.

Still, I will do what I can to describe what I believe that the Bible teaches about this. To be clear, I have complete confidence that what I will say about it is true. Not only have I been reading the Bible since childhood, not only have I read all sorts of theories and positions on biblical eschatology in my life, I have also been taught by a gifted and prepared pastor-teacher what the Bible teaches as a whole system and therefore what biblical Eschatology teaches.

This does not mean that I am not open to correction. I certainly am. But it won't be easy to change my mind about what I have learned. It would require the Bible's own authority for that to happen.

Let me start from a point of agreement. I believe that there will be an Islamic Mah'di of considerable power and authority during the Tribulation. He seems to me to be an adequate interpretation of the king of the South in Daniel 11. The South biblically includes the Middle East and Africa (North Africa, in particular). These territories are obviously Muslim and they incidentally have a "Messiah" figure who will unite them all and grant them world domination. It only follows that during the Tribulation, such a figure will arise. The Tribulation is, after all, also prophesied to be a time of demagogues. Lots of people will style themselves saviors, christs, messiahs, at least some of them even claiming to be our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. This is one reason that it is only those who have been diligent in spiritual growth will be able to identify the true Antichrist during the first half of the Tribulation. Others must wait until the middle of the Tribulation to have a chance at accurately identifying him.

This Mah'di is not the Antichrist for one obvious reason: The biblical Antichrist is not just going to be opposed to Jesus Christ, he is also going to claim to be Him in fact (although everyone that claims to be a savior/messiah/christ is really claiming to be Jesus Christ).

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Another important reason that the Mah'di will not be the Antichrist is that the Antichrist will be Jewish. His mother will be of the Tribe of Dan (although his father will be the devil as Genesis 3:15 prophesies). This is why some prophecies sound weird about Dan. The following is only one of them.

17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way,
A viper by the path,
That bites the horse’s heels
So that its rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for your salvation, O LORD!
Gen 49:17 — Gen 49:18 (NKJV)

Another reason related to the first and second above is that the Antichrist is going to usurp the Kingship of Israel. Do you see the Mah'di claiming to be the rightful king of Israel?

A fourth reason is that the Antichrist is the last king of the North in Daniel 11. The North is Europe including all the territories once ruled by the Roman Empire. Do you see the Mah'di ever ruling over that continent?

A fifth reason is that the Antichrist will emerge and start his global campaign for power in Mystery Babylon. Mystery Babylon will be the most powerful nation on earth during the Tribulation. It is because the Antichrist will take power there and gain control of its wealth and military power that he can also take power over Tribulational Rome and eventually subdue the whole world.

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.

Revelation 17, Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28, and numerous other passages scattered throughout the prophets, among which notably is Jeremiah, prophesy about the Antichrist as, severally, the king of Babylon, of Tyre, and of Assyria. In Revelation 17, we see a union between the Beast and Mystery Babylon. The Beast is a biblical metaphor for both the Antichrist and Tribulational Rome.

In short, the Bible does not accommodate an Islamic Antichrist at all, although it does accommodate an Islamic demagog and pretender to Messiahship. Such a thing would fly in the face of both the Bible and the Qur'an, not that I care much for what the Qur'an says.

As you should have seen, my reasons (of which there could be more) are all from the Bible. While the interpretation may be debated, it does stand or fall on the Bible, not on any other source.

He is one-eyed, but your Lord is not one-eyed, and between his eyes will be written ‘kaafir.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 6598). According to another report: “Written between his eyes will be ‘kaaf faa’ raa’.’” (Muslim, no. 5219) According to a report narrated by Hudhayfah, “This will be read by every believer, literate or illiterate.” (Muslim, no. 5223).

I disagree for many reasons. It is worthless to predict the end times based on translated texts and revelation is with great likelihood symbolic. Applying literal interpretation to metaphor is not productive. It seems you have your own biases against muslim people.

Hello everyone. During the COVID lockdown, with all the conspiracy theories that flew around, I did a study of the end time Bible prophecies (something I've always been fascinated with), just so I could find out what was really going on.
My study led to the creation of a blog, where I talk about the end times and Bible prophecy.

There, I outlined in greater detail, with quotes from both the Bible, Koran and respected Imams, and comparisons between the coming Mahdi prophesied by Muslims and the future Antichrist prophesied in the Bible.

My point is this:
- I believe the future Antichrist will be Muslim.
- I don't believe it was a coincidence that there are only three monotheistic religions on earth, and two of them are similar (Judaism and Christianity), while the other is in direct opposition to the other two though they claim to worship the same God.
- I believe the church might be making a mistake in their eschatology, and it could prove costly eventually.

Can we discuss this please?

The agenda of Islam is to destroy the works of Christianity and make people to believe the devil.

To say Christ did not die on the cross is the number one evidence that Islam was set up to destroy the work of Christ .
It would not be a surprise if a Muslim emerged as the Antichrist .
