Well, will he also play for Spain? He has a Naija dad, korean mum and was born in Spain. So time will tell.

Was it not Amad Diallo the other day who turned down Italy U-21 call-up recently? The lad made it clear that playing for CIV has been his big dream.

And this is coming after he signed for Man Utd. A Giant in Club football. That kid Amad Diallo just earned more of my respect.

Na this kain scenario I dey wait for as regards a Naija talent with dual nationality walking into a big club and still choosing Nigeria. Mehn... That day will be lit because it will take guts to turn down nations like England, Italy, Spain, France or any other big nation while at a big club for an African team like Nigeria.

andrewbaba44:
Say this one go play for naija grin

Yes, Nwakaeme could get a chance in the absence of a few of our regulars but I don't see how he would get in when everyone is available unless he improves on his stats-count to really get Rohr's attention.
Even stats in Scotland are taken more seriously now than in Turkey based on their current league ratings.

As for Rohr and Iggy Romance... That one na their business. grin

And yeah, we could have two of our strikers on the pitch at the same time but will a Rohr that tactically surrendered a 4-0 lead to small Sierra Leone suddenly pop with the system that will fit in two/three strikers working in fine harmony? I really doubt it. Looks like the best of his tactical acumen is limited to playing with just one striker flanked by wingers and a Creative Midfield player. That and inshallah is Rohr's way. grin
Yes he would have to really grab his opportunity but that is a possibility.

Lol @ Rohr with his inshallah grin but I think his problem is more in game tactics because he normally sets up well for starters. It is just when backs get against the wall that he can't truly be counted upon.

I think Osimhen can also play on the left wing to accommodate someone like Onuachu.

Osimehn on the wings for onuachu? Madness. As long as SE don't have good crossers of the ball, onuachu will be pointless in SE set up. We're better investing in terem or Sadiq as osimehn back up. The coach should never play his best striker at the wings

. Exactly, not just osimehn but numerous players. I personally think that the coach and fans are discriminating against him due to his Age. If the guy was younger, I feel like people will be salivating over him like they're doing to the king of gala. My own is that we must be partial, fair and consistent
And which isn't really a bad thing, he doesn't really have a long term value and we don't have an urgent need for him

Quick question, if Rohr brings back Ighalo where do u think he will put Victor? What did Rohr introduce Victor to the national team as?

Ok moving on, Onuachu is not just an header of the ball. Most of his club goals are with his feet. His only goal for us was with his feet. He is one of the leading strikers in Europe. It is an obligation to mention his name when u are talking about Nigerian strikers.

Osimhen can thrive on the wings because of his pace, hard work and decision making. Him playing on the wings will not take anything away from his goal scoring, it rather adds another goal scorer to the fray.

First of all, if ighalo returns back to SE, he is coming in as an experienced "Squad player" definitely not starting ahead of Osimehn except the coach introduce a 2 Strikers formation. In reference to onuachu, yes, he is the top scorer at his club but let's be honest, the guy has had only 1 good game out of 9 and if he follows the same trajectory, nothing will Change. You simply do not Utilize your best Striker on the wings because you want to accommodate another striker that way, your team won't capitalize on their potential. As for onuachu, most of his goals this season are Headers and Tap-ins (Not Bad at all) but the best way to utilize him is to find Great crossers of the ball and anything contrary, you're wasting your time. We should also keep an eye on Terem and Sadiq those 2 Guys looks like an upcoming talent. Honestly, Strikers is the least of SE problems

U can talk from today till tomorrow but there is still no justification for not using a striker that is in the thick of the European golden boot race. We say we want the best performers in Europe, so when a guy distinguishes himself it should be acknowledged.

Ehmmm... Well from what I saw when at the TB Stadium last week, Nope it's not too small.

But about the grass presently on ground. I didn't exactly get a more observing look as I was at the med center of the stadium for the most parts. But from the little chat I had with some people present that day, I was told the grass there now is natural. Not so sure about how true because the Teslim Balogun pitch has always been associated with synthetic turf. But time will tell.

OGANBOR IS 5TH NIGERIAN TO PLAY FOR FC TULSA UNDER COACH NSIEN

TULSA – FC Tulsa is again recruiting from Nigeria to add depth. The club announced on Tuesday that it has signed Nigerian forward Stanley Oganbor to its 2021 USL Championship roster, pending league and federation approval. Oganbor is the 5th Nigerian signed by FC Tulsa head coach Michael Nsien since taking the helm of the franchise prior to the 2019 season.

“Stanley is full of pace and power, and he’s a deceptive player with or without the ball,” said Nsien. “I believe his most effective position is at center forward where he’ll want to make his mark and to score goals. Stanley is electric, and the supporters will be on the edge of their seats when he’s near the goal. I’m excited to get him here and make sure he adapts properly to the way of life and the team culture in our city and with our club.”

Oganbor, just 22, began his career in the third division of Nigerian soccer, the Nationwide League One, with Lagos Islanders from 2015-17. His success with his hometown club at a young age allowed Oganbor to move to Slovakia to play for Inter Bratislava in the 3. Liga (third division). A significant leg injury cut short his time with Bratislava, but Oganbor still managed to score four goals and two assists before getting injured.

After recovering from his leg injury, Oganbor returned to the Nationwide League One in Nigeria to play for Flight FC in 2019 and 2020.

"I am extremely excited to join FC Tulsa as a player," said Oganbor. I pray we'll achieve a lot together."

Although he was born in Tulsa, Nsien is of Nigerian descent through his father and has signed five Nigerians in his time with the club. Last year, FC Tulsa rostered four Nigerian players in Raphael Ayagwa, Solomon Kwambe, Mfon Udoh and Tobenna Uzo. Kwambe has been announced to return to the roster in 2021.

Meanwhile, reports emanating out of Italy since yesterday indicate Osimhen is likely to start today for Napoli in their Coppa Italia Semifinals second leg.

No Koulibaly. No Manolas. No Mertens. A really tough match ahead for Osimhen's likely first start since his comeback.

Game's in 5 hours and 42 mins from now.
