Prepaid meter is now free. It was paid for before but now its free. Just got mine this month that I applied for last 2 months. Anybody collecting money for prepaid metre from you is a scammer.

Over here meters aren’t readily available, you apply, pay and then wait, when it’s ready they text you to come over for collection and installation. It takes about 2-3 weeks. Don’t just causally ask for meter, even if it means going to Ijora, do so. Ask for contacts, link up, press. I sympathize with you.

At the time it wasn’t free ( September, 2020) and I didn’t pay to an individual’s account.

If you’re in Lagos, assist the OP with contacts

bro. I have even tried to pay and wait for 6 months sef but they say no that I can't pay for meter again that it's free. I even went to marina the head office of nepa but still no solution. I was told to wait that any day they distribute it to my end I will get it. now am contemplating of taking them to court to sue them concerning the high bill but a friend told me to consider the money I will spend hiring a lawyer and it stress. honestly am distressed here
