If you are a southerner, and you think the likes of buhari, and the rest of the northern apc stawarts are there for your interests, you are foolish beyond remedy.

The smart play would then be getting these southern senators to unite across party lines with a few of the middle belt progressive union and force progressive policies through.

But we all know that is a pipe dream.

Once buhari calls one or two yoruba senators to the villa and talk about 2023 and tinubu, they will fall in like a pack of cards.

very correct but change is inevitable

Sure. Eventually, young Northern youths will not only embrace cryptocurrency but trade in it. Those old selfish men can keep waiting on CBN to give them dollars.

Herdsmen will surely support anything. grin

I'm not saying those that opposed it are better, I'm just saying they might have investments in bitcoin.

Why do many northerners always stand in the way of anything that has a semblance of progress?
If it isn't MACBAN, it would be their senators.
If it isn't HISBAH, it will be a certain sheikh.
Lord Lugard, you no do well o

Re: Crypto Ban: Northern Senators Support CBN, Southern Senators Oppose by CSTRR: 7:32pm On Feb 11, 2021
And finally, the real ideological division in Nigeria is not APC versus PDP or umbrella versus broom or Socialists versus capitalists.
It is north versus south.
A northern pdp man will not support progressive policies that are too fast for the north, neither will a northern APC man.

Anybody that thinks otherwise is just deceiving himself/herself.
The sooner we realise that, the better.

Whichever ideology wins, will determine the future of this country.

These guys up north are pulling us backward. you can imagine the senator from Niger who supported the ban, agreed to the faact that Nigeria economy is fragile and weak beccause he wanted to attract sympathy.to buttress his point. But he will never accept the same fact if it were the opposition that pointed out the fragility of the economy. Furthermore, these guys are ready to frustrate anything that favours the south. It just unfortunate.

Crypto will not replace hard currency but it looks like it will be one of the trading options.

Northerners and many southerners don't understand it at all or even at 50 %.

To all, be warned of scammers that will tell you to bring your money to invest in crypto. Many scammers are already on the prowl. Crypto is not for everyone yet. Try to understand it and weigh your risks properly.

Ignorant people will always look to ban anything that they do not understand. Meanwhile their daily actions are far more dangerous than those things which they proscribe.

If the mobile phone was invented today these same idiots would be calling for its ban. Same for the motor car, the aeroplane and probably even electricity.

You will be surprised that they may not even think that far.

They just feel that since the south are the biggest recipients and are supporting, then it must be bad for the north.

You cannot develop a country with that mentality.
