Van dijk was both UCL and EPL best player...he was also solid for his country em route to nation league final..his Liverpool team stage one of the biggest comeback in UCL history. Messi scores lots of goals but this awards seems to favor only attackers, this was the year I think a defender should have won it. My opinion tho.
