Both were Antichrists, hypocrites and Jehovah "false" Witnesses, however the Pharisees didn't pretend when it came to their hatred and rejection of Jesus. They were very open about it that everyone knew how much they detested His Person, hence many were afraid to associate themselves with Him because the Pharisees had made Jesus to be like the number 1 public enemy, so associating with Him would lead to some repercussions. That's why even Nicodemus who was a Pharisee, but an exception to their normal way, had to hide and come in the night to see Jesus. John 3:1,2

But on the other hand, the Jehovah Witnesses would come in the guise of true Christians, yet they would have complete disregard for Christ's instructions like that which He gave to His disciples to be witnesses of Him. Acts 1:8

Jehovah Witnesses would do everything to denigrate His Person like the Antichrist Pharisees did. The Pharisees wanted to stone Jesus for saying He was the Son of God because they thought He hence made Himself God. The Jehovah do just about the same to reject every idea that Jesus was God despite that it was clearly written and prophesied in the Scriptures. Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1

In order to destroy the idea of Him existing even in the beginning of Creation which proves that He was God, they had to fabricate the extremely ridiculous idea that He was angel Micheal.

Another aspect where the Pharisees were better Antichrists than the Jehovah Witnesses was in the respect of being able to accept defeat and keep silence when their hypocrisy and lies had been exposed.

But for the Jehovah Witnesses, they would die first to accept the same, even when their hypocrisy and falsehood had been laid completely bare, and they had nothing else to clutch at. Instead they'd keep speaking gibberish and beating about the bush as a drunk, even though it would only further complicate matters for themselves. Matthew 22:43-46, John 8:7-9

The Jehovah Witnesses could surely do well to learn a thing or two from the example of their fellow Antichrists, the Pharisees.

Well let me hint you on the issue of prayer.

Prayer is a means of communication between the physical (humans) and the spiritual (immortals) so whenever you see anyone speaking to an unseen being know that it's a form of prayer. Prayer is also an act of worship that's why God never permitted any of his angels to communicate with his servants without introducing themselves. The angel must introduce himself and tell the audience he was SENT to deliver a message. But demons don't usually present themselves because they're on a different mission to fish out worshipers for themselves!
So since these unseen intelligent beings know that all humans want to worship the Most High God every demon present himself as God! That's why the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob gave specific rules regarding prayer and worship {Exodus 20:2-5} all prayers must be properly addressed to the God of Abraham he introduced himself as JEHOVAH (YAHWEH).
Now why is it that his true worshipers mustn't pray with unbelievers?
This God specifically set standards for his own worshipers so whoever is not ready to live by his standard must not be brought before him neither should his true worshipers pray for or with such a person {Proverbs 28:9; Jeremiah 11:14, 14:11-12} that is why Jesus will never pray with or for anyone who is not ready to live by the principles he is setting! John 17:8-9

So because we are strictly following the pattern set by Jesus (as the one who leads in the worship of his father and God) we must first preach and teach someone what our God decreed if we notice that the recipient is prepared to live by this standards we will raise our voices to JEHOVAH to assist his new friend to live by what he's learning. But most people today have been taught that prayer must come first before preaching so if we get to their homes we try to explain to them why praying should come between us and someone who has not listen to the rules of our God {Proverbs 28:9} few do reason and continue listening but majority will ask us to leave so when we take our leave they conclude we don't pray at all since we come all the way from our homes and it's just the prayer that we will insist not to engage with them!
Jesus only asked us to greet according to the local custom he never asked us to start by engaging them in prayer!
