I want to apply for Sept 2021 intake and need these two clarification.

1) I have shares in two company, one is a bank and the other is defunct japaul maritime of which both have changed name owing to acquisition of the bank, to change of name of japaul to a more broader company name, now can I use this as home ties or is not relevant to the application?

2) I have a pension account with roughly CAD$6,000. Can it be used as POF or home ties or not relevant in the application?

Please your input will be highly appreciated. Dont want to make mistake In my application filling.

Thanks.

Other gurus can help as well.

Seems no one has an idea or don't to want to help me out on this? Or are we selective in answering others when they are post questions for clarification

This is how someone's visa was revoked on "Give birth in US....thread" few years ago. In summary, let's be careful with the information we drop here, Visa Officers are on NL, and they are watching!!! We can always PM for sensitive information. #okbye

Hahahahaha! Happy to have you as my adopted brother. You are welcome.

Yes, I think it's better to state one year; you will be able to sort out any other thing once you are there.

Once your help has the same surname as you, she is practically your child and she can be listed as one and it makes it easier for the application. As an adult, she can also conveniently travel with them too.

7COLOURS:
Hey! I have adopted you as my sister o, God bless you ma, I'm grateful ma.

What is stated on my offer letter is one year ma so I will request for one year study leave based on your advise.

As for who will bring my children, I'm planning to include my house help in my application. She is 21 years old presently and her family has agreed to let her go with us. She currently bears our surname and we have lots of family pictures together and she also looks like me. Gurus in the house, please hope there won't be any challenge with this arrangement?

Make una help me biko. My adopted sis., God bless you ma hugs

quote author=Baphil post=99014789]You are very welcome.

GTB does mybankstatement, so you are good to go. The truth is that people can run two businesses at the same time and not necessarily be constantly physically present in one. You can explain someone else heads the other business while you are one of the directors or the sole director of it is a business name.

I think you should stop at stating only one year if it is not stated in your acceptance letter. So was it stated? If yes, then state it and explain the last one year is for internship, if not, leave it at one year. The point is that if it is stated in your letter of acceptance and your office also states it, it validates it and makes you more transparent and convincing. It's even in the open sef, so no need hiding that fact if it is stated there.

I think your children can apply from 6 months to one year after you arrive. Who will travel with and bring your children to Canada? Remember to add the person to their application if the person is not you.

I believe the main gurus here can also come in here too.

Good day all. I hope this meets you well.

I have been an ardent follower of this priceless thread for years. So I decided to give it a go as Australia is doing pin pon with their border reopeneing. Please spare me sometime to go through the documents and information in my possession already and advise me in any way you can.

Degree: BSc Physics and Astronomy (2013)

CGPA: 4.06/5.00

IELTS: 7.5 Overall

Work Experience: Insurance Company(2016-2018)
Bancassurance(With a top leading
bank 2018 till date)
Please note that I worked at an Environmental consulting firm from 2014-2016. Though I don't have the employment letter with me as I lost it a long time ago.

Travel History: Singapore 2019( For the Company's annual business conference.

Sponsor: A long standing close family friend who was my late dad's apprentice. History of him taking care of the family after my father died can be found in my bank statement as old as year 2015 as he has been making constant huge and small cash deposits in my bank account.
He owns a registered company and has up to 20-25 million in his bank statement together with various registered landed properties.
He recently made cash deposits of 10mill(3,3,4) in my account using his name for my tuition fee and is going to make an electronic transfer of 10mill using his company's name, for my living expenses.

My personal savings: I have a total of about 5 million in my other personal account.

Family ties: I am the first of the three children my late father left my widowed mother with. I am the one paying their school fees, rent and other house expenses.
Also, I have a fiance who I will legally marry once my Visa is out.

Now, I am looking at going for MBA at Simon Fraser(2 yrs) or UNB(One yr).

Of course, I intend switching course once I get there.

What are my chances please?

Thank you for your time.

@Frankrobbn1

You've a good profile that would land you a successful application. I would recommend you use University of New Brunswick MBA program. I have noticed high visa approval with this school lately and there is a good prospect of being nominated in the province under its International Graduate Stream even before the completion of your studies.

The sponsor of your abroad studies being a family friend is not strong enough, however, you need more of evidence than mere statement. He could pay your first year tuition at UNB and transfer some funds for your living expenses. Please provide proof of past transfers/deposits from him to your account. This will further explain to the visa officer that this sponsor have been rendering financial support to you prior to this moment. Again, please don't mention in your personal statement to the immigration that you're responsible for paying school fees, rent and other house expenses for your siblings. Mentioning this will dramatically affect your economic establishment in Nigeria. Hence, I would advice you to remain silent about this point. You can explain to the immigration officer that you've a fiancé in Nigeria whom you plan to walk down the aisle immediately after the completion of your studies in Canada. Attach engagement photos, pictures where you both went for a date and had soft kisses and hugs etc.

I hope this information satisfies your enquiry.

Hello People, I applied for a master's in 3 Canadian universities now and currently waiting for their favorable considerations of my applications but I'm disturbed if my current age could be a barrier. I'm 42 going to 43 now and not sure if I could scale this visa people hurdle. please, from the experience gathered so far, could anyone throw more light as regard age in this race. thank you.

Age has got nothing to do with your study visa application. Once you can account for your study gaps with rational explanation and encyclopedia documents/evidence, the visa officer will have no concerns on your ability to study but to approve your application. Most importantly, you also need to declare substantial amount in your bank statements and proof of adequate economic ties to Nigeria that would motivate your departure from Canada after studies.

Thanks Baphil, school resumption date is May 2022.

I will be 41 this year, will it be advisable to use sponsor or present myself as sponsoring myself.

I have two children, mother, brothers and sisters with a building owned by me. Plan is to use my children, siblings and property as home ties.

I currently work, 16 years experience practicing what I studied in school here in Nigeria and about going for same course but higher degree.

Please what are my chances?

Any age above 33 is termed a matured applicant. Given that you're 41 this year, the feasible way to prove that you're well established in Nigeria and that your proposed course of study in Canada is at a reasonable expense. You're in a more advantageous position of being Self-sponsored. Having someone else to finance your studies abroad will give the visa officer the audacity to question your financial establishment thus leading to visa rejection.

Having critically examined your profile, I would suggest you apply alone, whilst your spouse and kids be your home ties in your application.

A Master's degree is the way forward to demonstrate career progression. This program should be in correlation with your current job role considering the 16 years working experience.

I hope this information satisfies your inquiry.
