Hello all
So I work with the state government and receive a little above 50k as salary so I bought a car to do part time driving. Yes I've save a little while driving but the car issues will always take half the savings. I want to buy a direct beljum car to continue now, but sometimes I feel this business has no future and no total financial freedom. I'm confused either to go ahead and buy the car or do something else.

Help a confused brother out

Please if you are a driver and reading... Listen to me...

Stop wasting your future and destiny driving as an ehailing driver. This was not God's design for your life. Go and learn a trade.

Mechanic
Fashion Designing
Building Construction
Plumbing
Electrician
Chef
PVC installation
Car pimping
Interior Decoration
Bakery

Lagos has over 25 million people and more are coming in daily. Only 20 contracts from these 25 million people is enough to change your life forever.

Become a pro in whatever you choose to do and then ask God for favour and grace. You will see how you will become a millionaire over night.

The above listed people in Lagos who are pro in what they do make far enough money than what ehailing drivers can make in 100 years.

You may think this is a tough call but remember that people like Gazzuzz and Radautoworks were once novices in the mechanic world. They may not even know how to loose a tyre many years back. Fastforward to years later... They are controlling millions.

Felicity take note. You were born a great man. Discover your destiny fast and leave this racket before you become wasted. Same applies to other great people with divine potentials here.

God bless you all.

Nwanne mmadu u too much

Proverbs 22:29, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” That is a word from the wisest man that ever lived in Bible times. If you are diligent, you would be outstanding. ... Without any doubt, diligence is a mandatory tool for success in life

My brother you have an ego problem.... Life is by stages.. You learn to crawl before you can walk .........motivational speeches only works once you have achieved those success ..... Practice what you preach......
grin This man you too get problem, what he's saying is it's beta to crawl in something worthwhile than crawling doing Uber.

>>I envy Una o honestly, car I bought after seeking advice here for a family person, if you see the car now ehn cheesy just 3 abi 2 months into the job o..smh. if it's something I collect returns or use as an investment I'd HV had heart attack by now.

>>Angry Igbo man is right about the exit plan, and the earlier for both drivers and partners, the better. I'm sure some might remember ogataxi who now happens to be my very close pal (I love hustlers) he actually went in hard on that business he started by mistake cheesy . I remember Wen they took back the car he was using cus he stopped using it for Uber. He didn't give up, and I saw the determination in him...My Audi been suffer bad road that time cus I gave him a few times to go with it for inspection instead of trekking cus this island na packaging cheesy

>>It'll interest you to know he bought his first car almost a month or so later, which he sold and now uses an ES330 just 2 abi 3 weeks ago sef. So would you rather Crawl b4 u walk doing Uber, or doing something that would be worth it in the end? That's the million dollar question. Even for car owners

To be fully financially independent from anyone or any organization Irrespective of nature or field of job .. You still need an exit plan .........

In life there is no free hand outs .. Nobody is going to give u sh#t ... You just have to hustle for it ......

You are actually right, I did Ehailiing for two years plus, made some money but interms of career growth it was almost zero, I stopped last year February, learnt many skills ranging from Programming, to data analysis to Mechanic and now is not that I have arrived but I can see growth and even my health and body is growing well too... For two years plus that I did Ehailiing (mind U I fed well, Asin well well) my weight is always between 55-57 but after like 6 months that I left Ehailiing my weight is close to 70 now, I looked more fresher even though money no too dey.

NB: Driving is stressful in Lagos and as a Career you can't add Uber,Taxify driver as experience unless you wanna be a professional driver.

So what will you advise we do cuz I really want to stop this and get a more stable income and can grow with or without me

There's need for everyone to protect him or her self against all forms of hazard. But in comparison the individual who commutes to work on a daily using public transportation is even at a higher risk than an uber driver. On the average an uber driver does maybe ten trips daily whilst the everyday commuter associates with more than that in one distance covered. More so the uber driver still has control over his space than the individual who commutes with public transportation. I am.not trying to start a knife fight here but I am just tired of hearing this drivers are at high risk sermon.

That doesn't change the fact that drivers are also of high risk, if u have contact with average of 10 strangers everyday in an enclosed space, exchanging cash, people coughing and sneezing inside your wound-up car for reasons u don't know then u of high risk bro.

infact That's why I need to leave asap. I have a brother in Los Angeles California who works for IBM computers, he earns 100k dollars annually. he has done everything to persuade me to leave the country and come and study I.T and build a career in I.T, wayback 2013 I refused to take his advice then, cos I always believed the money is here. But now nothing will stop me from japaing grin. What Angryigbodon said is true. Ehailing is a pure waste of time. The business is not design to give u a comfortable life and make u financially bouyant. Its a sustenance business that's give u small amount of money to keep body and soul together. For how long will a reasonable thinking person be doing that. The earlier drivers wake up the brighter their future. I know alot of guys I met in this business who are in this business for more than 5years living hand to mouth. They can't save because of peanuts they earn on a daily. This is my 3years plus in the biz I was fortunate to save some money because I am not married yet. No serious responsibility. I am over due to quit this business and go for something better.

No going back Oga Dru grin. Wether there is fallback plan or not. Man must upgrade. No ego problems, it is a decision that must be made this 2021
