I have an old spring from my Subaru that’ll fit the bill.

I’ve wanted to create a housing for my propane to shade it from the elements. I came up with this design.

The top is going to be a removable hip roof that’ll slide in and out to facilitate tank changes. It’ll be a nod to my love of cantilever designs.

I’ll also be changing the part of the hose inside the wall to iron pipe per code.

It's going to be my usual steel frame with a wood top. I will use Mesonia for this top because of it's striking grain.

The commissioner chose the 3rd frame but I will also build the 2nd frame for sale.

PS: The interesting challenge here will be making this to be an assembled product.

1) I started welding practically two weeks ago. As with anything I do I’ll master it no doubt. I’m not doing too bad.

2) I’m already using binding wire and sometimes electrodes stripped off.

3) I’ll never use body filler on my projects. That’ll be like putting lipstick on a pig.

4) 120 ke? I’ve never went above 80.

I need to grind down the welds, weld some more, grind some more, consuming Trophy’s. Rinse and repeat

My welds are God awful but I’m seeing improvements. Despite best intent I keep getting holes in light materials.

We keep moving.

theres a different kind of welding I saw on youtube, it pours like liquid and it covers every inch that need to be covered without making it rough. here is a link

Two stage painting with final coat in custom Berger Paint color of choice on a red oxide base coat (also Berger Paint). I only use Berger Paint and never diluted to ensure lifetime consistency in color.

The top will be made from Mesonia wood and stained in choice color.

Will break down into four pieces and comes with 1 year no question asked guaranty against workmanship and parts.
