Who sent this gumi or whatever they call it, in the first place, if he sent himself, he should be placed under arrest but he won't because the Nigeria so called president is in charge. |

fitzmayowa: This fool and his brethren who quoted him above have supported; - Giving land away to rampaging Fulani herdsmen so that there will be "peace". - Has lauded the kidnappers of the Kankara school boys as a hero. It is very obvious that they are afflicted with a serious brain rot. |

Like the way, your governors know all the names and addresses of the armed robbers in your state. It is very interesting how you have chosen not to see this as the consequences of a failed state but a tribal issue shadeyinka: |

Don't mind those slowpokes. the major aim of all this kidnapping is to grant amnesty to bandits with niger delta oil money and Niger deltans will be seeing the Igbos as their enemies. sheikh Gumi is part of the plan |

Sterope: Its a failed state but it doesn't absolve it of its tribal sentiments. In a multiethnic society, a failed state will avoid the security chiefs to come from some certain section of the tribe. A failed state will always locate "enemies of the state" especially when they come from other section of the society. A failed state is known by employment of lower cadre of personnel where senior officers abound (like EFCC boss). Nigeria is a FAILED state and it is sadning! 1 Like |

When Niger Delta militants began kidnapping people, were you a bigot about it? The victims and the perpetrators are likely of the same ethnic group, but you want to make it tribal. ESN doesn't have hostages. ESN isn't as powerful, I doubt if they have people in government. Try compare and contrast, it will help you a great deal. I doubt you express these views when you read about Nigerian's military attack or arrests on these bandits. I am pretty sure you avoid such threads. shadeyinka: |

The problem with most Nigerians is that we are very poor historians! The same Gumi who many years ago almost set this country ablaze with his teachings on sectarianism...He even went as far as proclaiming then that the Bokoharam members should be left alone because they were actually 'freedom fighter' and were doing the work of 'Allah' by killing people! The same Gumi is now being allowed and permitted by the government to negotiate with bandits and even going as far as suggesting that these criminals should be given a 'blanket amnesty'! |

Sterope:The Niger Delta militants were not fighting as criminals. They were fighting for their communities. There is a difference between kidnapping ,extortion AND armed civil disobedience. Would you say the herdsmen were different from Evans the kidnapper? |
