In my opinion, Light was never portrayed as a good guy. He was already thinking aloud about killing his parents and sister of they found out about him as early as episode 2. Light was clearly the villain and L was the anti-hero.

As for JJK, I get the hype. You can't really fault this anime adaptation in any way. If you are a shonen fan, there's a 99% chance you'll like it. I'm a manga reader and I can easily tell you that the first 20-30 chapters are the worst. They are still quite decent, though.
If you like it from the start, you'll like it more as you watch it. If you hate it, you'll hate it less.

In my own opinion, he was portrayed good at the beginning, i mean cleaning the world of crime and evil, who doesn't want that. But when he started developing that God complex and thinking about, destroying innocent people who try to stop him, i started feeling some how. Especially when he killed those FBI agent.

I will pick BNHacademia over JJk. Anytime any day, your prediction about hating it less, is quite right

That has to be the anime with the most saddest ending i have ever watched. Men, i mean, light that was always so fucking cool and , became shit at the end. I am just sad.

On other news, an overrated anime just became the best anime of the year according to crunchy rolls. I guess even when the lion is not around, dog self go wan claim strongest.... I am talking about JJK.

He had the god-complex from episode 1...
Deciding he was gonna be the Judge, jury and executioner... deciding he had to do it...
Even in ep2 when he proclaimed himself as JUSTICE.

Power corrupts, once Light got hold of it, he became corrupted...that's why he played the cat and mouse game with L...
He could have simply covered his tracks and L may never find him, but instead he allowed L to draw closer to him cos L challenged God on live TV

I guess if you read the manga. It's like Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The first one is actually a good show but Brotherhood makes it look like trash.
Aside from deviating from the manga, The Promised Neverland S2 hasn't been that bad yet.

Er... I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Fullmetal Alchemist doesn't follow the manga while FMA: Brotherhood adapts the manga with pretty much no changes. And Brotherhood isn't trash. It is THE HIGHEST RATED anime on MyAnimeList.
