Look,an old car will always remain one irrespective of the look and extras you give it.
The difference is utility.
People will not judge you because you drive an old utility car but will judge you more when you drive an old luxury one.
Then that car will also become a moneypit because luxury cars has too many things on it that will break,so be ready to spend good money for that.
Well,you are 25 so I should let you make the mistake yourself so you can learn from it.
If you want it,get you'll learn what I am saying overtime.
PS;I also did this too when I was close to your age growing up.

Well said bro and very advisable.....it is always better to start from the simplest and cheapest option.It could be water or moist.If after cleaning and it continues,then he should go for a scan then lastly is to replace.It is not good to just throw parts at every problem even when the parts are cheap.

Most times the culprit of a bad SAM is water.
You can't reach a conclusion until car is scanned as advised by one of our oga's above.

SAM Can go as high as 250k to 300k the last time I checked.
I have seen situations where it is being opened and cleaned up properly and it starts working properly after. Don't know if its advisable though,but get car scanned.

Apparently, I visually checked and noticed the drainage vent at my front windscreen was blocked with leaves. Checked the fusebox at the hood and noticed water leak i to fusebox area.

There you have it, that's uncle SAM having a cordial relationship with water. Get a reliable mechanic or technician who can remove it and get it cleaned,hopefully it gets back up and running.

Thanks everyone for your advise. Issue has been resolved. Symptoms was coming from the back SAM. That is, non-working remote key, rear right/left turnkey, fuel gauge, boot etc. The water did not affect the front SAM. The electrician traced the issue to the CAN bus. Fixed the broken wires to the back SAM and ran diagnostic and all is well.

I have owned two w164s. There’s no such thing as a two wheel drive 2006-2008 Mercedes ML. RWD became optional on that platform in the 2009-2011 model years. The prefacelifts were all 4matics as standard from the factory.

Corolla... That one na basic car and no features... You don't compare both

I am a guy that enjoy handling in cars and durability... I would suggest that you go for C 320 ... That car is amazing v6 car and the fuel consumption is great

Unless you are ready to sleep with one eyes closed and be hailed down as a taxi... Then go for Corolla
