HMMMMMMMMM

SHUT UP YOU ARE VERY IGNORANT AND BIASED

THEY KNOW THIER RIGHTS
YOU SHOULD COMMEND THE UNITY AND ORGANISATION OF THE PROTEST.

IF NIGERIANS CAN GATHER UP LIKE THIS THEN WE CAN MAKE CHANGES

THIS TYPE OF PROTEST CAN ONLY HAPPEN IN AN ELITIST SET UP

If you have a brain you would notice i didn't condemn them protesting but in the current economy situation of the country a supposed commercial state like Kano shouldn't be paying #50 for tax a day in any transport sector.

It is not even realistic in southern villages to make development with such money except all you do is parasite on Niger Delta money.

We now see why they are battling to organize Banditry as revenue source through ransom

Keke riders dey mad.
just #100 daily tax na watin dey hard them.
where do they expect govt to generate revenue to build infrastructure and maintenance.
the govt should ignore those ediots.
better gain when Dem for make today because of #100 that is necessary for state development they foolishly refuse to work.
I hate it when people feel they are entitled to things withing owing to responsibility.
Number of Keke in Kano may be around 3
4million
Government is targeting close to N400million daily, and approx minimum of N1billion monthly.
If put into proper use the growth is astronomical

My challenges to the Kano state government is to enlist all Keke riders in a computer data base as tax paying citizen and not just to collect N100 daily and issue them a paper alone

So government will build and maintain roads with their piss?

Where will the money come to build needed infrastructure and maintain peace and order if not from tax and other things?

100 naira per day is what they are crying about while down south thats a meagre sum. This is 100 naira we are talking about not 1000 naira. In most states they pay nothing less than 500 naira per day.

They are lucky they are in Kano, because looking at the empty roads its obvious keke is the main means of Transport. They should come try this shit in PH, they'll regret it because Taxi and Bus guys will cash out big time.
They don't even collect such tax in my village let alone a city like Kano.

And they have the supposed population in passengers o.

They probably have been paying #50 a day and want roads to be built upon such amount, whereas it's Niger Delta money they rely on

Are you the one keeping the database to arrive at 4million.

If 4million Keke are in Kano, which roads are they going to be using when cars and trucks haven't been factored in

So it's common #100 for tax that the supposed biggest city in the north is crying over.

Common #100 has grounded movement because they all depend heavily on #10 public transport

Yet they would miraculously be churnning quota figures to measure up with port-harcourt and Lagos State when internal revenue list comes out

Lord Luggard should be given another flesh in hell so he can burn again

That's how it starts from 100naira to 1k.

Nice....I hope you know how to convert this knowledge or info you've got to streams of income? If not then you have been left behind.
Imaging having a travel delicacy clientele of 20 persons per the state packs you mentioned...even if just 5 bus parks and your service(reach out to me if you yet know what service to render on a daily) charge is just as low as #50 daily(you can decide to charge the food joints separately too)
That will amount to
20 times 5 times #50(fifty naira)=#5k Daily/per service..... I sincerely hope you know how and already CASHING OUT....

If you know please tell us. Because I know no matter how cheap it is it will never be less than 20 naira.

So paying 100 naira is still not a big deal. Thats just 5 passengers' money for the day.

No single keke, does that mean they don't have buses or Taxis in Kano? Or is it that their mode of transportation is just keke?

If they try this in Port Harcourt they'll be at the losing side, because Taxi and bus guys go dey jubilate. This has been their prayer grin grin
Didn't you see or hear him state the reason why the roads are empty.

Keke is the only thing plying it

Is it aboki that can't afford #30 Keke that would buy car
Re: N100 Daily Tax: Kano Keke Riders Begin Indefinite Strike, As People Climb Trucks by MummyD2020(f): 9:48am On Feb 23, 2021
#100 is even so meagre compared to the ones they pay here in Lagos. Does it mean that they have been plying the road for free all this while?? Chineke!! These northerners are really enjoying life compared to what we in the south see. For real, they are been treated with kids gloves. And to think all this is given to them on a plata of gold and things are like this. Meaning if they are neglected the way we the easterners are they will not survive the hardship

And Kano is the supposed biggest city in the north and most populated after Lagos.

With the way the streets are empty because of Keke, they should be getting atleast 40 passengers if they make 7 trips just going with 5 alone per trip

Read actively, No you won't..most of you guys mk bias comment up and down,..the strike its NOT really about the 100#!!! But the stress to generate 100# remita online, queue in bank all because of 100 payment!!! The stress alone is more than the 100#
The lagos, PH and other cities you guys are mentioning is it not ticket issued, let the government say they should remita..and you go see wahala..

I think mist pipo here just read topic and comment, they are on strike because they want the government to provide an alternative rather than going to the bank to pay 100 and that REMITA stuff is more expensive than the #100

Ok, so I won't comment without proper research like others, I look into the issue, its not actually the 100 naira per se.

They are to pay the money through remita, which cost like 500 to 600 naira at the cafe, in total they are to pay up to 700 naira daily.

They are also protesting incessant harrasment by the state agency KAROTA for extortion... So they are not striking because of mere 100 naira..
