Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday celebrated his father Emmanuel Abiodun on his 89th birthday, Igbere TV reports.

The governor said he was grateful to God for long life and good health which his father has enjoyed.

“My Dear Dad, Happy 89th Birthday! You are an awesome Father. The Almighty has blessed you with long life, good health, and you’ve lived to see your great grandchildren. To God be all the glory. CONGRATULATIONS, DAD!!!” he said.

Mr Abiodun was born into the family of Emmanuel Abiodun and Victoria Abiodun from Iperu Remo in Ogun East senatorial district.

He married Bamidele Abiodun in 1990 and had five children including the late Olugbenga Abiodun a disk jockey also known as DJ Olu.

I always get scared celebrating birthdays for old people.... after I saw what happened to the mother of one of my friends,she clocked 90yrs, the children threw a birthday party for her, she thought they were celebrating her funeral, funny enough MAMA died the next morning....
