Some people get what they deserve.

Got a trip on Saturday. The pick up distance was 15 minutes on the map and by my estimate the trip will end at around 3k so I decided to go for it. The best part of it was that, its a stone throw to my house.

Called the rider and asked if he wasn't in a hurry because it will take me about 15 minutes to arrive and he said no problem so I proceeded.

Just as I was arriving, this guy cancelled. The thing pain me enter bone. grin

Anyway, fast forward to today, this same guy called me and said "were you the bolt driver that carried my mum last week Saturday? " Of course, I carried someone else's mum that same Saturday so I said yes.

He said, the trip ended N2800 and you told my mum it was N8200. Me ke? Where did I pick your mum from and where was she going? By the time he answered, I knew who he was. Told him I didnt even get to go on that trip because he cancelled it just as I arrived. Na so I cut call.

Whoever that bolt driver is, I hope his as.s gets permanently blocked off the platform even though I kind of feel the guy got what he deserved. If I had gone on that trip, her mums N5400 would have been intact

I've been getting similar complaints of late. What I simply tell them is to report the trip to Bolt and explain in details how the driver told them a higher fare amount than the displayed fare. I even had to show a lady how to do it. It's so annoying when you hear reports like that because it makes riders begin to distrust drivers.
In fact for the lady in question, she insisted I confirmed the payment on my end so that it would be displayed on her end before she made payment. She explained why and after confirming she was paying cash, I confirmed the payment before she actually paid.

What if she was transferring? So I'll be there dragging and talking long story because she didn't trust the system due to what a fraudulent driver did? It's rubbish!!!

Indriver does not recommend AC. They don't even inspect car sef. So if u put on on AC its for ur own comfort, not the riders.
The fares are lesser for a reason - pick up and drop off no salt and pepper included. But if u pick a ride that price is comparable with the big two players u can flex the rider since him don try.

Just like name on drivers licence doesn't have to match name on car papers...the Tint permit is a car document not a drivers document. Therefore, it must match with the other car documents.

But the medical report is to check if the driver can drive at night with a tinted car so I don’t see any sense in getting medical report in owner’s name while it is another person that will drive the car.

I don’t know if you get my point

Driver's license means permit/license to drive. It's not related to tinted permit.

There's no law against driving a tinted car that is not yours.

I’m talking about the medical report and not the tinted permit, medical report that shows you can drive tinted car at night, that’s what I’m talking about.

So I was opportuned to hear the Olosho side of the story today. Picked one up and we were just gisting so she told me how some drivers deliberately pass long routes because they want the money to increase.

That what they don't even know is that, if she's going to meet a man, she does not mind which route you take as long as she's not the one paying but when she's just coming back from hustle especially one with these young guys who don't pay well and still drill the hell out of her, she's angry already and if the fare increases by one naira, your rating will suffer for it. grin

We got to her destination and her money increased by N100 naira. I was like, does this mean my rating will suffer? She said noo, I like you and the man I went to meet paid me well. She paid me my money, rated me 5 star, and I left grin

This experience with her further explains the stupidity of bolt and this their rating system

You finally picked one of the 'good' olosho... cheesy cheesy cheesy

Sometimes I have very interesting conversations with some of them and you'll be surprised how intelligent SOME (a few) of them can be. I then remember their hustle, then my MIND would ask them why they do what. They reply my MIND that it's all about the money for them. They do it to get money.

My MOUTH nearly asked the question once but I controlled myself and minded my own business. After all na ordinary driver I be...

But she can see her name and fare boldly written. Well, whether they pay cash, or transfer or olno wan pay, I dey confirm so u will see it on ur end and story no go plenty. I used to show them before but some riders are wicked, they can claim anything because they feel they shouldn't pay at all for the trips. Why mama go pay 8,200 when fare is 2,800 the difference is too much and should have called her son on the spot cos I sabi say he would have told her the range. Omo forget riders o, I have seen things in this hustle. Let them go n settle their business

Increase in card trips? Hmmm... All through last week, I had just about 2-3 card trips. Some riders complain of debits when trip is not even completed and all those issues associated with unnecessary debits.

I get u bro...but the medical report is to claim that d sun or brightness disturbs/impedes ur sight while driving, so u have to tint the glasses to reduce the penetration of sun rays.

Albeit, this claim is for the *owner* of the car, irrespective of who is driving it at any particular point in time.

Lets just let it slide once and for all... I believe it was unsettled beef or groadges that brought about this in the first place.

I never meant any attack or insult but was only trying to pass a message in response but oga dru like he always does misunderstood my message and took it like I started a fight therefore, insulting me with his challenge that my enemy won't achieve anything good (that's what I understood from that his challenge). I should prove him wrong by accepting his challenge which you and a few other person supported I accept his challenge, though I don't have any issue with any of you that supported his challenge, after all, you're all ignorant of his actual intention. So I forgive.

Thank God men are not God, all of my life, my family, my achievement and others I give it back to God and i thank him for what I'm today, no do no do I'm registering for my MSc program in Unilag this yr, courtesy to proceeds from ehailing... Wirh God helping me I'll finish in a good note.

So let's put this to rest and forget about the whole thing.

As for dru I'll avipd him totally henceforth, I womt even read his comment again on this thread. If our path crosses again anywhere else in life I know I'll always show the love of God in me to him or any member of his family because I have nothing against him, if he likes let him continue to carry me in his mind that's his concern but as for me? Me na free man.

@ Npala, thank you for your constant and progressive follow up on me, I really appreciate God bless you. But Point of correction, my lowest rating was 4.25 not below 4.0 like you wrongly stated. Only an inexperience and naive driver will have a wrong assertion about a Bolt driver by his low rating. In case you don't know me, I'm a disciplinarian, a no nonsense person and at the sane time, down to earrh. So I believe you understand reason why to my low rating at the first 3months driving with bolt which I believe most driver experience similar in their first start. You don't wanna know my current rating, do you?

In any case One love bros
Nay bless us all.

I refuse to shalaye but all the best
