Again Gunmen Attack Police Checkpoint in Anambra, Set Patrol Vans Ablaze, Cart Away Arms (Photos)

Unknown Gunmen have again attacked a police Checkpoint in Omogho in Orumba North, of Anambra State today (Wednesday), IgbereTV reports.

According to eye witnesses, the gunmen who drove in Mercedes Benz 4Matic SUV, opened fire on the policemen who had been deployed on patrol in the area.

Though the number of casualties was not immediately available, the attackers also set police patrol vans on fire and carted away arms.

This is the 2nd attack today in Anambra. The first attack claimed the lives of two Police officers on duty.

No! it's about a prelude reactions in response to all happening which sugges only bandits and herdsmen have monopoly of terror in them with brazen support by the authorities.

Now it's an eye for an eye..they should channel similar energy with which they are persecuting ipob and ESN to deal with the menace bedeviling the country.

I sincerely hope peace returns, years back it was police killing unarmed protesters, today armed policemen are being killed and their weapons taken away . We don't know who takes them away whether they are fulani herdsmen or ESN or peaceful ipobs or bandits or armed robbers . May God heal and protect the east from wild animals
