This is a hard fact you need to know tonight. At the time our forefathers were busy encouraging our forebears to go to school, even enticing them with candy just to experience western education for free, your forefathers were busy promoting almanjiris while they kept building castles for themselves...money that belonged you guys in the north was being carpeted by a few elite groups. North had the fattest allocation till date with such low population which they exaggerated to be 2 times more than the south, including trees and shrubs which they counted among human beings and they've been duping Nigerians with the fake population figure and underage voting. Before state was carved out of kano, they claimed to be more than lagos. After the state creation, they still claimed they were more than lagos. Each time we asked for censors to be conducted, they kick. The pvc collection rate in 2019 had really exposed them and their fake population figure but we don't care. We understand all the gimmicks

Did it for fiscal reasons. A Continuous budget deficit in the north made administration difficult. Consolidating British property in the midst of German and French presence was another reason.

Fundamentally, at that time there was a negative 800,000 or so pounds profile in the north whole the south was doing 2,000,000 (trade thru burutu, calabar, sapele, lagos, opobo, port harcourt ports). Made sense for him to merge it together to ease that problem and encourage synergies that could amplify future earnings. Tho, ofc he was an orientalist and had a disdain for southern activism.

The arrogance of the Northern Nigerian political elite is shocking, while Yoruba's political leaders are falling over themselves to appease Northern politicians. The arrogant Northern politician has been stoking the flame of war with Bala Mohammed and Gumi making inflammatory comments against the South and Christain.

The North has failed to understand their economic limitation. If the South leaves Nigeria the North will cease to exist, with too many ethnic groups(approx 200), deforestation, lack of seaport, growing population, Islamic insurgency, and corrupt leaders.

You must be a poor student of history or just trying to be mischievous with your narratives. FYI, A lot of people already lost faith in this Government since inception. The moment it took the president about 6-months to select his best candidate for the ministerial positions, which turned out to be the same old familiar hands with no known record of achievement, people already concluded no change will likely occur. #ENDSARS, is just a lame excuse to make for a government that's been in power for about 5years before the protest took place. Whereas I still pray the president record some tangible success with the short time at his disposal, I however doubt his willingness to do the right thing that'll make such good wishes become a reality.
