The Northern Nigeria is dominated by the majority hausa/fulanis who are specialized in farming system.

After the border closure, these group of people engaged in a massive food production in order to boast our nation's economy.

It was gathered that after the recent attacks on the hausa/fulani community in the south.

Truck drivers started diverting their goods and all consumables to the neigbouring countries of Niger Republic and Cameroon.

This photos were uploaded by Arewa Media writers showing group of northern vigilantes blocking food item-laden trucks from going south.

According to them, this can be the only means to pay back the wrong doing of the southerners.

As a patriotic Nigerian, I want to use this medium to call the attention of my fellow country men to kindly avoid anything that will led stage of anarchy in our dear nation.

Observing, food game is not our thing, in AlaIgbo, somebody should wake us up when it gets to the point where we need some blowing up lol.

No side should starve us oo, when two food giants are fighting, if any side try to starve us we cut off, drug supply, clothes and shoe suply, machine parts suply, phone and phone parts, in fact imports will halt, and above all, we all go back to 1914 and reboot Nigeria to scattered west African tribes...

Didinrin lawon Northerners yi o.

How the bleep do you blockade a region with land and sea access for importation.

If you say the president controls the border, you will be foolish to think people won’t revolt against the government by civil disobedience to import those stuffs if you push them to the wall.

We have land and sea borders and a neighboring country that share the same blood as us so are these Northerners just foolish or almajiri lifestyle have eaten deep into their brain?

God bless these people.

I like what i am seeing, when your mothers and fathers selling tomatoes, pepper, yam, meat etc can not provide for you or pay your school fees again, then you will know who is your food supplier.

As for online keyboard warriors...continue your job...when you buy 2 old layers for 5400 every week, then you will realise that cow meat is the cheapest form of protein in Nigeria.

Continue your jumpy jumpy online...shebi no be you dey feed yourself na mama and papa dey hustle for you.

This will eventually be a blessing in disguise for the Yorubas.

The Southwest will invest more in Agriculture and start exporting foods massively

I hope this continues forever.
It is a wake up call and challenge to all Southerners that they should boost their agricultural input.
It's not all about sitting in the office or bank front desks.

Investment no be by mouth. The largest farm producing farm produce in Nigeria today is still in Nigeria. All that needs to be done is just adjust distribution channels.

Presently kwara state is the highest in Egg, Chicken and Turkey production.

Ogun state and Oyo State are doing well in Pig production.

As for crops, we can rely on Benue and plateau for supply untill we fully develop our region

Lol no farm in the north has a daily output production like Obasanjo Farm in Ota. None is sophisticated, technologically inclined like it in Nigeria. Mind you this is not just a cassava farm. They are into everything. How long do you think it will take to plant and cultivate tomatoes and onions? Lol there will only be a shift in demand from the South to places like that. Sanity and growth will be restored to Southwest, Southeast & Middlebelt agro industries.

asking northerners to stop selling perishables to the South is like asking fishes to stop living inside the waters. northerners have no other alternative market except southern Nigeria. their tiny population neighbors can only allow them to bring in their perishables under ECOWAS agreement but they will not buy because all of them produce surplus and need buyers more than northerners

So you think it magic they use to begin new business.

You are silly.

You think someone who has an expertise in selling tomatoes will just wake up oneday, and start selling bag of rice without understanding the market and cost of buying one bag grin

Do your research very well about Benue state.

Do you know why Benue state is called the Food Basket of the Nation ?

Benue is a rich agricultural region; popularly grown crops includes; -

Orange, mangoes, sweet potatoes, cassava, soya bean, guinea corn, flax, yams, sesame, rice, groundnuts, and Palm Tree.

You better stop wasting your time with that dull thing.

Nah Benin Republic people go gain pass.

If Nigeria can export tomatoes and onions to other West African countries, then they should also be able to export their own tomatoes and onions into Nigeria too.
