Dear Amelian, In the morning of 25th of February around 4am, I saw a thread about Victorian. That name alone made me wish earnestly it wasn't you before I clicked on it. I called the number posted, but a husky voice picked it and broke the heart-wrenching news to me.

You see, life is strange. Some days before I came across that thread, I had a mild yet intense memory about my 100/200 level days when you gave me your bbm pin and we chatted. Strange isn't it? A Nairalander mentioned same too. And the reason why I am writing this to you is because I feel you may hear it.

The first time I chatted you, I didn't believe you were Nigerian. I even thought it was a man using a Chinese picture. I asked for more pictures and you told me to wait till the next day. The next day you sent me pictures of you in a tailoring shop with some girls in the back ground.

I remembered telling you you were beautiful and would love to meet you. I remembered calling you all to no avail but later when I got back in touch with you, you said your Blackberry was stolen. I feel I never tried enough to see you. I feel like I didn't take the chances I had to meet you or maybe academics and life got too heavy on me. I feel maybe if I had met you, you would be perfectly ok.

One thing that was clear about you was being a kind and free soul. A lady who wasn't obsessive about pride. A gentle lady, A lady willing to listen to a voice she'll never meet. But you still listened and talk to me with a smile eventhough I was way younger. After all these years, I remember your smile over the phone more clearly than ever.

Wherever you are right now
Do not tarry, do not despair
