But the issue and fair is that.
- how many people can afford treated wood . Let’s say 2*2 plank for N700 etc
- low patronages
-most furniture guys now a very lazy they can’t work on wood to give superb finishing surface instead of that they will go for HDF, MDF boards.
- most Home owner now go for China, Turkish made doors and come to think of it, they are just looking fantastic but not durable as before.

I am sure ordinarily old fashioned brick oven for bread could be used as well if the temperature is controlled right.

The kiln method can take like 2-7days
The others method are as follow

- Air drying: this take a longer period of time, during the dry season it can take like 30-50days

-Chemical seasoning ; this take few days also( new technology)

-Microwave seasoning
-Solar drying;

So it depends on the type of seasoning you are going for.

You’ll have a stock of timber’s strategically laid out in a yard. You’ll just test for moisture periodically and select those timber’s that pass the test for milling.

One of the first things I entertain in new business is how reliant it is on electricity. I don’t want any business that’ll require too much diesel purchase.

Trust Naija artisans like me , unlike Baba Egunmogaji2, we will only start looking for such wood only when there's a client for it. We hardly stock up.

I bought about 50 pcs of 2*6 "osan" wood few weeks ago. I told the guys in the sawmill to hint me whenever they come across it again.

I don't have it, but one of my guy have it in Bodija ( we call it Osan or Akala)

if you have the funds, go into the industry. Few weeks ago, I was told to buy wooden doors for a client. I couldn't because the furniture maker couldn't guarantee the time of delivery. His main reason was the unavailability of dry wood

Water tower is made to be bolted together NOT welded together, mine is bolted. I can dismantle move it any time I choose to. Please make sure those bolt are 8 grade high tension, to hold the stress after torqued value
