I think the military needs to reevaluate the training. I think these guys aren't properly trained.

I remember during the battle of Stalingard, Soldiers running back from their lines were shot by their commanders. It is against mikitary rules, to desert your command/position, you are jeopardising the war effort.

Probably the assumed Deserters might have been killed during confrontation.
