Please enlighten me on this.

I've been receiving texts from my bank that I can obtain a loan with ease via an EZ cash model.

I've been sceptical about this but an urgent need for money made me try dialing the code and I was told that I'm not eligible.

I contacted my bank and was told that my credit bureau report says that I'm not eligible.The account is my salary account and I also use it to run my business. I even have a POS terminal used for my business given to me by the bank over six years ago.

I do not owe any bank nor financial institution. In the past, I have received a loan from a micro finance bank and paid back at 25% interest without defaulting. Last year during lockdown, I also got a loan and paid back without default except when the bank called to say they waive payment for a month for clients who have no record of defaulting..

I am confused as to how I can have a bad credit bureau report despite my account being credited even more than a million in some months. If there is a mix-up, then how can it be corrected? If there is no mix-up then what am I doing wrong to avoid an unfavourable report going forward.

I would be grateful for kind suggestions or explanations.

There is surely a mix up... Proceed to your bank to enquire how to resolve this as it will affect your credit rating when you need to obtain loans.

They didn't say you have bad credit report. They said you're not eligible.

What you need to do is ask the criteria for eligibility

Credit reports in Nigeria for individuals are not 100 % correct

Any financial institution can churn out any information as they wish..even credit berau information. Are not completely synchronised with banks and many financial providers
