It's not by drilling borehole but difficulty in getting clean water. The way you ewedu eating bastards reason sometimes eeeeh. U haven't travelled beyond Ore before yet you claim to know how SE looks like. Ndi ala

You're very correct! I've NEVER gotten out of my beautiful Yoruba land cuz... I've got no reason to go to a wretched, savage, muddy jungle region in SE Nigeria. cheesy
Else, why do >90% of Okoro Savages abandon their wretched, muddy jungle in search of greener pastures in a Yoruba region flowing with milk and honey? grin

During my service year, I camped in Enugu. Awgu camp built on ojukwu bunkers.

Enugu generally have water issues and it is more pronounced during the dry seasons.

Water business is a very big business over there.

But it is surprising that Igbo people avoided this thread. It is nothing to be ashamed of. The topography of Enugu made such draught possible and I think coals contaminated a lot of their water.

Was quite surprised at the water issue

Enugu is sooo peaceful.

The second picture is UNN Hostel during water scarcity.
LOL.
Anyways, anyone living in Enugu know that dry seasons are plague with water scarcity. Except you re lucky to live in a house where there are few or no tenants which means the water source will not run dry.

Not that I am insulting Enugu, but in actual sense Enugu is like village compare to PH. This is a fact and not an insult. Again PH has better layout, planning, serenity, industrial and commercial strength far more than Enugu. There's not supposed to be comparison between the two at all.

Lol, in actual sense both of them are like villages. But one looks more like a village than the other. Having lived in both cities for more than 7 years, I give the village award to PH. Even the well planned areas you're talking about does not exist, goto GRA, Woji, Garrison area, Rumokoro, Rumokurushi.

All you see are clustered small houses with old leaking roofs and poor blocked drainage systems. PH also have a problem of uneducated people, the average youth their doesn't want to goto the university, because after all NDDC and Shell give out job slots to their communities yearly so uneducated people with no degree work on rigs and earn big salaries.

Enugu have a problem of red soil and water, apart from this it's a beautiful city. Beautiful houses and structures are abundant their, the kind of houses ordinary people with low paying jobs live in Enugu, are exclusively for rich and oil workers in PH. Infact Enugu is much well planned out, enter places like independence layout, GRA, Zoo estate, you'll easily think you're out of Nigeria if not for the red soil that gives out its look.

Enugu is also cool, insecurity is far from that area. People go out like they don't have much to worry about, it's just perfect to raise a family there. I think ave said enough, and this is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own view wink

Point of correction, in search of greener pastures in Lagos because of the presence of seaport there. What about other SW States, how many Igbos are there?

Desist from idiotic reasoning. Igbos in Lagos have right to criticize Tinubu and his activities because whatever happens there affect them as Lagosians or Lagos city residents.

That's SouthEast governors/leaders for you. Visionless, crude and I don't care set of fools. All the developments you are seeing in Igboland today, from real estate to hotel down to markets & churches were all individually driven efforts except Gov Dave Umahi that decided to leave an indelible footprint in sands of time in Ebonyi State. The remaining SE governors are nothing to write home about.

Succinctly deposited. My elder brother, an Architect schooled in ESUT and I used to visit him then. Enugu is well planned. Apart from Lagos and Abuja, no State capital can match Enugu in terms of well planned city, serenity, recreational centres, good rood interconnectivity etc. The only problem the city has is accessibility to clean and portable water supply. If the State government can solve this issue, life will be very easy & less stressful for the residents there.
