Hello everyone and all Chieves in the house,
@Lekiboboe
@just mellow
@iberisamuel90
@every1

Please I need your urgent help. I wish I had been in the platform before I submitted my application. I need your advice

I submitted my application without vital documents. I got admitted to study Environmental technology, a diploma program in NBCC. I am a B.eng holder in Agricultural engineering 2019 and I am 25years.

List of documents submitted
-All mandatory forms to be filled
-Proof of funds
- Prove of school fees payment
-Letter of sponsorship
-Birth certificate
-Police report

Application timeline
Application date - 16-01-2021
Biometric submission - 26-01-2021
No upfront medicals, paid school fees upfront

What should I do? Please I really need for this to work.
You already have a degree cert and you applied for a diploma program? Oh mehn! That's a red flag as it dosnt show any career progression at all, a Post Graduate program would have been perfect. At this point, there's really nothing much you can do than to wait for their final decision. Meanwhile, you can start searching for post- graduate/master's program that aligns with your field/work experience in case.....
I wish you the Best!

Thank you for your input. However, everything in their process was done in Abuja. They reside there too.

My brother was able to get through to VFS via mail and phone. It was explained to him that because the children didn't do biometrics (as children under 14 years of age do not go through biometrics), they must pay biometrics transmission fees. They went ahead to pay and then resent their passports to the embassy. IRCC has sent messages of counterfoil i.e. that their visas have been pasted on their passports.

We learn everyday. I pray someone applying with a minor under 14 years would take note of this and just go ahead to pay the transmission fee before sending their passports to the embassy. Please remember to attach the proofs of transmission fees with your package.

JustMellow:

Hello Baphil,

It seems their PP was sent to another VAC different from where there biometrics were given. Hence, the need for the transmission fees.

Once the outstanding debt has been made and evidence of payment well-received, the PP will be immediately dispatched out of stamping.

If they've received the message/letter by error, they should immediately call the VAC centre hotline to get it resolved.

Best of Luck

Hi guys I need your honest opinion on this, like put yourself in my shoes and tell me what you would do. ok so I started this studying abroad journey back in 2019 I was fresh out of high school and didn't plan on schooling in Nigeria, Canada has always been the only country on my mind. So I apply to one school in Canada, university of Manitoba, Winnipeg I was granted admission in November 2019 and applied for visa December of that same year, my decision envelope came and I was denied because of insufficient fund not because I didn't have the money the account wasn't funded so we funded the account and applied again and I forgot to add am not the only one going it's me and my junior sister and when I mean wasn't funded the money there wasn't enough for two people. So we funded the account and applied again in February 2020 and yes we we're using an agent so I didn't get any response from the embassy till October when only passport was returned without it being stamped and a little note which says Decision making is still in progress, final decision not taken I found that weird but since they gave a reasons I kept on waiting sending emails and webforms till February when I reached out to my agent and he said he got a mail from IRCC and he needed to see us privately and I was like wondering what went wrong so we met up with him only to tell me I've been banned from Canada for 5years for misrepresentation. Turns out IRCC already sent him an email since October to respond to clear their suspicion about misrepresentation and my agent didn't respond to them neither did he let us know about it until he was arrested, This was the same for my sister. I posted that on nairaland asking for you guys help and so on, i was told to avoid these countries:US UK Australia and New Zealand because they share the same database with Canada. Now I've searched for countries and I've come to the decision that Germany was ok for both me and my sister I've even picked two schools already and yes I'm going for a Bachelors degree and I plan to study anything relating to business, it could be marketing, business admin.,management e.t.c. ok so now I've spent 2yrs at home already and all my classmate are in school and I don't want to waste this year again on a country that would waste my time and money then not grant me visa and with what am seeing they said booking Appointment date with Germany is like asking the Nigerian government to pass a death sentence bill for (financial) corruption which is a first red flag for me like I don't have have another year to waste I want my application to move smoothly. my question is do you have any know European country that I could try I mean put yourself in my shoes and tell Me what you would do? At this point I'm confused and No schooling in Nigeria is not an option neither is schooling in Ukraine Cyprus or turkey so pls I need as much opinions as I can get

In my honest opinion, I would suggest you hire an ogbonge lawyer that will help clear your name in this shitty situation with Canada, Misrepresentation is nothing to joke with as it has a way of coming up again in your future applications in any of the previously mentioned countries. Even if you end up not studying in canada, at least clearing this mess will go a long way, a denied application is far better than a ban! In addition, I suggest one of you(you or your sister)should step down to enable the other succeed first with this una plan. It may be difficult to proof financial buoyancy for undergraduate studies for two people being sponsored by the same parents, except sey una money long well well wink

Whatever decision you eventually take, I wish you all the best!

@Just Mellow, thanks for the response. My challenge is I have been trying to get another admission but not been able to because most schools are not taking 2.2 for Mechanical Engineering in the university. I also tried plenty colleges but still no head way.

I need advise on which schools to check out for PGD in Mechanical Engineering/related courses.

The reason for denial in the gcms note is:

Applicant seeks to study electro-mechanical engineering technology diploma program at Centennial College. Applicant has been employed as a mechanical engineer for 8 years. Applicant already has a degree in mechanical engineering. - Applicant's plan of studies does not appear reasonable given applicant's employment and education history - Information provided do not demonstrate a logical progression or a clear career path - I am not satisfied that the proposed studies are reasonable in light of applicant's qualifications, previous studies, employment history, level of establishment, future prospects and plans and considering the magnitude of investment - I am not satisfied that applicant's purpose of visit/motivation for entry into Canada is educational advancement

Thanks everyone.

Good evening everyone,
I trust our day is going well. Please I am in the process of reapplying for my study visa having received a rejection earlier. I need a few clarification and would appreciate a response;

1. Is the UCI number that was generated in my previous application the same number which I will use for this application? If yes, am I expected to input in manually or will the system automatically generate it?

2. My form imm5257 is not generating a barcode despite having been successfully validated. Am I doing something wrong?

I apologise if these questions have been previously answered. I tried reading back but couldn't locate it.

Please, I need help so urgently.

I have very limited time to submit my online visa application but all the ATM cards to do the payment are being declined. One of the cards (GTbank) said the reason for the declining is that $235CAD exceeds the limit of $100 web-based transaction daily limit.

@Everyone: Please, help me with suggestions on how to make this online visa application payment.

Thanks,
Please, how did you go about it. I am also facing this problem.

Good day Gurus in the house and everyone.

Please how often can one send mails and webforms?

My application is over 20 weeks now. I've sending mails and webforms different offices including Lagos, and they reply saying I should contact Nairobi. Nairobi gan no gree reply. Just once they said it's still in active review. My GCMS note says "recommend interview".

I'm worried because my tuition deadline is fast approaching (24th March).

I don't even know if this is a question abi I'm just venting.

send them a mail using @awys format indicating ur tuition deadline is fast approaching and plead with them to expedite action.
To be best of my knowledge most recommended interview end up to be approval.

1. If I have a friend in Ontario and my school is in Vancouver, can I fly directly to Ontario, do the 3days mandatory quarantine there and stay with my friend for the 14days quarantine before proceeding to Vancouver? I'm trying to reduce the amount I will spend on airbnb apartments.

2. How can I make payment for the mandatory quarantine booking?

3. What amount of cash is advisable to travel with, as I can't open an account till I get there?
