zuchyblink:That was in 1992/1993 season, but he was the highest goalscorer and one of the best players in 1992 Africa nations cup. Don't forget, he was the 5th highest goalscorer in Portuguese first division with 13 goals in 1990/1991 season before his team was relegated. You can't even compare Yekini's situation with Sadiq. |

Hmmm.... If off-the-pitch issues persist and Musa is the man who can calm things down with his leadership since all the players respect him, then fine, I will understand. So his invite will be based purely on non-footballing reasons if he indeed makes the main list. But again, why must a 25-goals Onuachu be the scapegoat to accommodate Musa in the list? Abi Rohr no fit drop one defender to standby? because I know say na defenders go full our list, followed by forwards and then midfielders. jihday: |

No matter the form of Osimhen he will always start for Nigeria? Like The number 9 position is automatically for him? Even if we have a striker that is doing well in one of the big 5 leagues |

jihday:If Umar gets invited over Onuachu then I know the coach is very unreasonable. U mean you will drop a player with 25 goals and the 3rd highest goalscorer in Europe for a division 2 player? |

Well, he scored a marvellous goal yesterday to indicate he's gradually working his way back to his best, didn't he? Has there been an international window since Osimhen took over the #9 jersey from Iggy that has seen Osimhen go barren in all games at club level before a Nigeria game? Answer this please. Also, what some of you in here must understand is that we have a few positions in the Super Eagles that are settled now. They are:- The Undisputed settled roles: - The #6 position (DM): Ndidi - The #9 position (ST/CF): Osimhen - The RW position: Chukwueze - The #10 (AM) position: Iwobi The other newly settled roles: - The GK position: Maduka Okoye (even though I personally think it should be kept open but Rohr has said Okoye is the new first choice. Uzoho is next). - The LB position: Zaidu Sanusi. Every other role is still up for grabs. Although Joe Aribo as CM looks settled also but time will tell with the new midfielder arriving later in Ejaria. jargooflife912: |

TheSuperNerd:In his defence tho Onuachu doesn't fit in with his style, he has given him enough game time but it's not working. Don't forget Onuachu started our first game at Afcon, to say he was dismal is putting it lightly |

Number one fact is Eye Test. Go watch the two leagues for yourself "with an open mind" and tell me what you find. The difference in technical quality is so clear. Besides La Liga Smartbank is the 2nd tier of the Best League on the planet. While the EFL Championship is the 2nd tier of the #2 league in the world. So bye. forgiveness: |

I know all these and I recall I analysed even his outing against Algeria in the friendly where he also didn't cover himself in glory as much. True indeed, he has not been impressive in the attacking setup of the Super Eagles but for the fact he has kept at it at club level firing in 25 league goals. Mehn, I feel he deserves to be rewarded with an invite. He won't start ofcos but honor his efforts with an invite. Anyway, Rohr himself even admitted to Onuachu's struggles in the Super Eagles when he was interviewed recently and asked about the Striking options. He said, "....We also have Onuachu who has been scoring lots of goals in Belgium but has his problems when he comes to (playing for) Nigeria". So Rohr is aware. But even at that, I still think he should be encouraged with an invite. jihday: |

TheSuperNerd:I have followed Spanish league from the first tier to the fourth tier for more than 10 years because I followed many Nigerian players there then. Laliga 2 is a very poor league. |

jihday:Two years ago matter. Please, someone should wake Rohr up and tell him we are in 2021. Give the boy another chance. Since, he keeps improving everyday. 25 goals is not beans hence should be compensated for his hard work else he demoralises him. |

La Liga 2 in 2020/21 and even from last season 2019/20 is nothing of the such. The quality seen there now is way above the quality of the Championship. Simple eye test reveals such. So biko, no dey use outdated experience of 10 yrs ago to about 3-4yrs back to rate a league that has obviously gotten better in quality and overall technical proficiency. The Championship is still basically kick and rush football for most sides there. Only few sides there play nice football. This is unlike what is seen in La Liga Smartbank. Again I say, go update yourself and watch the two leagues in the Here and Now. ![]() And when I say "watch"... I mean watch more than 30 games of La Liga Smartbank to judge properly. Then see another 30+ of the Championship. And if you insist La Liga 2 is very poor. Then sadly, it only makes it worse for the Championship. It's very way poorer. Simple. forgiveness: |

Subzero047:Nah, there is definitely a big 3. The French league is a farmers league and isn't as competitive as Epl, la liga and seria A. As for Herman league, it is Bayern Munich and the rest. Definitely a farmers league |
