Hi pals

So I just graduated this year with a bsc in mechanical engineering. Now the thing is that I would be serving in a few months (obviously), I would like to know the skills(software) and any other thing that an engineer should master before entering the job industry.

Obviously I know it takes connects to get a big gig in some of this companies, but I don't have that .Anything that can put me ahead and increase my chances of getting hired would be most welcome.

I tried programming,but I felt I was straying away from the mechanical field.

In summary,what kind of skills should an entry level mechanical engineer possess?

If you are interested in software development (web apps), you can google up "LinkedIn learning software development".

go and learn how to repair any of air conditioner/ refrigerators, generator or something similar. You will be sought after after your service

Cause I feel that major engineering companies like p&g, shell, nnpc and others may not be really interested in my web design skills.

u can start with AutoCAD mechanical and solid works

I learnt that a certain IITT at Lagos (Ibafo, or so) has a training for Mechatronics. You might want to check it out. Google "IITT Nigeria Mechatronics"
