Olulong:Onuachu dropped for Umar. The coach should tell us why he dropped one of the top highest goalscorer in Europe. Though I was the first to clamour for Umar's invitation to the SE when he was at Roma... that was in the Seria but I still can't understand why he should be selected ahead of Onuachu. Very funny coach. However, Osimhen's goal recently was the game changer. Shehu Abdullahi? |

This Porto team Fought like a lion despite being a man down earlier in the second half. If only Super Eagles can have this type of determination and resilience shown by this Porto's team in a World cup or AFCON tournament. |

Pepe is 38th years old still balling for club and country but Nigerians feel like we don't need a 31year old experienced ighalo |

Olulong:A lot of Black British players have Jamaican backgrounds, most of them don't just care about playing for them. Smith-Rowe is part Black/Jamaican although its unlikely he will play for them. |

12large1:So because he played for Manchester United he should be recalled? What do you think will happen if he returns and for some reason doesn't perform, the level of abuse he will receive will be much more than the one that made him to retire. He should enjoy his retirement in peace. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 2:48am On Mar 10, 2021 |
Karlovych:My friend igjalo is in his prime and it isn't just because he played for man utd but because he was the top scorer in 2019 ANCQ and ANC in addition to it, he became the first Nigerian born to play for man utd. Also, I am not even suggesting that he should be an automatic starter I'm only suggesting that he should be available for selection and compete for a position. |

12large1:Normally,when you clamour for somebody to be called out of retirement in any kind of setting, either sports or politics or anything, it has to be because there's something about them that you miss, that the present crop of individuals within that setting don't have or can't offer. In this regard, what's there about Ighalo's contribution to the super eagles that we really need? is it goals?? we have tons of strikers who are bagging it in regularly in Europe, even better than Ighalo did when he was at their age. Is it leadership? We have players like Musa, Balogun,Omeruo and Ekong who have been with the team for longer than Ighalo was... What is it exactly?? Why not let the man be?? Coming out of retirement should be his own decision and not that of the coach or fans... Don't forget that after the world cup,he could have easily been dropped from the team due to his poor performance but Rohr decided to stick with him and give him another chance.. Why not allow Rohr extend that same second(or first) chance to other strikers we have?? |

12large1:The Afcon was 2 years ago, Its a thing of the past now. Being the first Nigerian born player to represent Manchester United is irrelevant, he was crap there too. |

forgiveness:For me that was a fair list. Onuachu has been consistent in Europe but he has not delivered in the national colors despite several invitations. Club football is different from national team football. Onuachu seems not to have settled down to the SE style of play. For me, Sadiq Umar is another version of Onuachu in terms of physique but let's see if he will adapt better than Onuachu. |
