Pepe is 38th years old still balling for club and country but Nigerians feel like we don't need a 31year old experienced ighalo
Oga... I suggest you take a break from social media.. your meaningless rant is annoying. Has Pepe retired? Are there no younger strikers performing better than your Ighalo? Even in a better club.

Emphasis on "MAN UTD" he actually played for man utd in 2021. As a Nigerian, that's huge
And how was his performance during his stint at Man U? You just dey shout Man U up. and down. Is playing for man U a criteria to. go beg him to come back?

Hahahaha.... Go ahead and wet yourself. It is indeed Michael Olise. wink

The more I think of that list, the worse it gets

Omeruo? Shehu? Musa?

Chai!
Why would you mention Omeruo? He deserves to be on the list.

I don't even think Ighalo fancies coming back from retirement to play for Nigeria. There are reasons he retired...

You can travel from your house to him and force him to come back from retirement.

Chaaaiii... This guy has just given me nostalgic feelings. You taking me back to the time we coined the "KOC" attacking trident. grin

You are doing well.

damagnificentusb:
for me the list isnt that bad. Guys just want rorh to make whosale changes to the team. Bar the inclusion of musa, the list is good one.
I just cant wait to see the Killer trident- The 'KOC' unlished again.

I'm glad he's the holder of the record now. When Mbappe held it earlier this same season by hitting 20 goals to become the youngest to do so, I told a friend of mine that Haaland will collect that record this same season coz he's a Werey in front of goal.
'Said it's better and logical for such a record to stay in the hands of a goals machine.

Congrats to You and your son. Una dey do well. wink

But ehmmm, while I enjoy seeing the Goals machine. I still marvel at my own monster machine. grin wink cheesy

But clearly different in terms of playing style, their attacking attributes and interpretation of the #9 role.

But yes, time will tell if he adapts better than Onuachu did. I hope he does. wink

Icon4s:
For me that was a fair list.

Onuachu has been consistent in Europe but he has not delivered in the national colors despite several invitations. Club football is different from national team football. Onuachu seems not to have settled down to the SE style of play.
For me, Sadiq Umar is another version of Onuachu in terms of physique but let's see if he will adapt better than Onuachu.

Hmmm... I understand the reasons to be doubtful because of initial reports from the media about his choice. But I believe for Rohr to have confirmed that it is indeed Olise, then it means discussions have since been held with the boy and his "yes" has been obtained.

Only thing now is to wrap up his passport process soonest so that all this don't become just some exciting story.

Throwback post.

Was feeling really nostalgic and decided to go through a previous thread from our catalogue of various NT threads.

Then I found this. Gotten from The Flying Eagles Thread (South Korea 2017).

Dated April 26, 2016.

The era that should have seen SADIQ Umar and Osimhen battle it out at U-20 level for the #9 shirt. Chief Icon4s will recall well. wink

Note: We eventually didn't qualify for the U-20 WC but certain players from that class have gone on to be in positions we hoped they will be in few years down the line.

See how far we have come in our discussions and analytical projections into the future. smiley

I also saw one by Icon4s on same South Korea U-20 thread where he specially picked out SADIQ Umar and Osimhen as "A-Class" level Teen Strikers.

So far so good, they are proving him right today.

TheSuperNerd:
Nura is a Right back. You meant Sadiq Umar. Awoniyi may be playing in bundesliga 2 but I also rate Osimhen and Sadiq higher (Sadiq has already scored twice in the serie A is wanted by top clubs but Roma will likely keep him unless.... wink Even The Wolfsburg sporting director confessed that Osimhen scores lots of goals).

Chidera Ezeh is more of a rising high class sleeky striker. Still observing his growth. He's more of a withdrawn striker and right winger.
Even Osimhen's understudy @ U-17, Ebere Osinachi Christian is yet to show he's close to half of Osimhen's potentials.

To be frank, Among our rising young star forwards of our next possible super golden generation, I tip Iheanacho, Osimhen and Sadiq Umar (maybe an Isaac Success and Taiwo Awoniyi also) as the players that can smash Yekini's goals record for the Super Eagles.

MOST ESPECIALLY THE IOS (Iheanacho, Osimhen and Sadiq). They score GOALS FOR FUN, these three. smiley

The 2017 Flying Eagles squad composition will be stronger than the 2015 class but The 2015 class still had enough to win that tournament in New Zealand if Manu Garba had played the right cards. That's first-level truth. Manu has learnt, I believe. Expect to see another masterpiece from him at U-17 smiley

Very sure. Rohr confirmed it yesterday to a friend/source of mine.

And to be honest, I have no idea when exactly the lad said yes but was excitedly stunned to find his name on the standby list yesterday. That was when I reached out to confirm who this Olise on the standby list was.
He needed no switch at all since he hasn't repped anyone but he doesn't have a Naija passport which is why they commenced the process for his after obtaining his consent to play for us.

So my good man, it's just a matter of time. I believe Smartsmith0907 can give you more details on how soon his passport thing can be wrapped up coz he mentioned April in a reply to my post. I want this finished soonest before person change him mind abeg. Lol

And you can say that again. What a steal!

Olise, Ejaria and Lookman(hopefully)....quality additions!!

Serious nations issue passport in less than a week, simple things are usually rocket science for the Nigerian government.
We don't know what's happening behind the scenes. We don't know if it's the clearance from FIFA that's taking time or maybe it's the whole covid that's delaying the process. Because some players own didn't take this long

From what I have gathered seems the Olise on standby is not Michael Olise of reading, rather Olisa Ndah of Nigerian League.

kid will be a massive steal if he finally dorn our colors in fifa recognized match. he is massively talented and with him, ejaria and iwobi our AM position is sorted. eze can wait for a 3 lion call up as long as he wish

also is it possible for AC Milan's tomori to switch to us? kind have been doing well in italy in few of the games i saw him play. it won't hurt if the nff reaches out to him one more time because him breaking into the 3 lion squad seems mission impossible to me judging by the quality the english boast in his position on the pitch

what up with ejaria and lookman's switch? also heard torunarigha is in the bag as well

Personally for me, i will pick obinna nwobodo & azubuike okechukwu in midfield ahead of Semi Ajayi & Shehu Abdullahi. Obinna & Azubuike are far more talented and better midfielders than the duo of Semi & Shehu. With Aribo, Iwobi & Ejaria-when they finally processed his papers, i wonder how someone like the new addition Micheal Olise will make the team in midfield bearing in mind the way the team is set up by the coach. Because he would still be stuck on Etebo for energy, Ndidi for sleek interceptions, Aribo for quick burst of pace back & forth & Iwobi for his one-two passes. Semi Ajayi and of course Shehu Abdullahi will still remain an indispensable tool in midfield for him except we forgot what our team list was like to the last World cup & Afcon qualifiers and the events proper.
