The apostles did not have the Book you call the Bible. Many of them were uneducated so even the scriptures during their time was far from them.

I don't need to imagine what "Trust and obey" means to anyone. If Jesus Christ, the one who is my Master, the very Word of God Himself, trusted and obeyed the same teachings which He calls His followers to also trust in and obey, what is there to imagine?

Jesus Christ, God's own, calls on us to do as He did - trust and obey the Truth of God. The kingdom we aspire to belongs to Him, and all He asks is that we do as He did, Trust and obey. It is that simple!

God's Holy Spirit doesn't work like that!

To the Apostles the spirit communicates in order for them to oversee the congregation of God, TEACHING (FEEDING) them with timely spiritual food {John 21:17} so whatever they bind or loosen on earth will be bound or loosened in heaven, meaning God's Holy Spirit will never inspire anyone to contradict them!
To the other disciples God's Holy Spirit assist them in knowing when to respond and when to remain silent.
