Be frank with yourself, if it were your state of origin funds that was looted will you allow it to be used somewhere else? Meanwhile your state needs serious development. The kind of politics we play in Nigeria is worrisome.
Your state’s funds was looted, yet the same state said no money was missing? Are you talking of Imo State, or Delta State? Because to the best of my knowledge Uduaghan said no money is missing, Okowa has affirmed same, so what money are you talking about?

That is wrong of the Federal government. The money was looted from the state's treasury hence the money belong to Delta state and not the federal government. The state government should proceed to the court immediately. Abubakar malami is the second most useless attorney general after Aondoaka Nigeria has ever produced.

Why has Delta state not be in fore front in the fight for the return of the looted money?

This money ought to be given to Delta state. Ibori has no access to Federal purse, it is therefore reasonable and logical to assume the money was stolen from delta state and should be returned back to them.

This is a blatant and obnoxious!

This is against the principles of fairness, equity and justice.

Precedences have already been established with Bayelsa and Plateau States. Why must the case of Delta State be different? What's sauce for the goose should also sauce for the gander.

The facts concerning the IBORI LOOT are there for all to see. Ibori at the material time of committing the thievery was the Executive Governor of Delta State and not an appointee of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The FG would become another thief if they deprive the people of Delta State what is rightfully and constitutional theirs.

The most outrageous irritant is that the recovered loot would be used to fund projects outside Delta State!

Haba, Mallam!

The Delta State Governor, the Delta State House of Assembly and all stakeholders must rise up to challenge this open thievery!

Even if Delta state claimed no money was missing why is the money titled Ibori's loot?

If its Ibori's then it belongs to Delta. Afterall FG were not the ones that discovered the money, rather its the UK government.
Delta state claimed no money was missing. Will you compel the state to claim otherwise?
Money is to be given to the Nigerian government and Delta state has no missing money.

The citizens have right to demand for their money. The money does not belong to Uduaghan, Okowa or any other politician because its the state money. If the people of Delta state are serious they will fight for their money. But you didn't answer my question if it was your state that is in this predicament will you make such statement? Politics of pepper eye won't take us anywhere. Advanced countries don't play this kind of politics. Its this kind of politics that makes elected office holders not to develop a particular region because he/she didn't get their vote.

Good move by the FG, that money must never be sent back to Delta state simply because doing so means sending the money back to Ibori to pocket every single kobo.

Okowo is not in charge in Delta, Ibo is still the governor by proxy, Ibori is still in charge, Ibori put Okowa himself the governor of Delta state, Ibori is still the kingmaker in Delta and he practically controls everything in Delta state till this very second.

That money was forfeited once it left the shores of Nigeria and must be returned to benefit Nigerians instead of sending it back to Delta for Okwowa to find ways and seasyly put the money back in Ibori's pocket.

The FG is not stupid, they know their game plan.

Did you read my post, mr smarty pants? Did you see the part where I said i really didn’t care considering the fact that if they hand it to the state it will be re-looted? This however doesn’t change the fact the the funds belongs to the state

I think it's unfair to use Delta State loot to fund key regional projects.

On a second thought, Okowa will just share that money with Ibori if it ever returns to that state.

IMO, anti-graft agencies should have an in-house unit which ensures that government officials use recovered loots for the purposes they are intended to. So, every recovered loot should be returned to the state it was stolen from with the agency keeping close tabs on how it is spent.

Similarly, when loots are recovered through a legal proceeding with the federal antigraft agency pursuing such cases, the FG and state (where the loot originated from) should share the recovered loot in a certain percentage, say State: 70%, FG: 30%.

Keep quiet.is delta not benefitting from 2nd Niger bridge

Ibori reveals why he made Okowa Delta Governor from prison

Former governor of Delta, James Ibori, has said despite his incarceration, his support for governor from Delta North, which saw the emergence of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2015, was based on justice, equity and fairness.

https://dailypost.ng/2017/04/15/ibori-reveals-made-okowa-delta-governor-prison/

Sending that money back to Delta is basically sending it back to Ibori, Ibori is the real governor of Delta state, Okowo is just an errand boy.

Mumu what is soo hard to understand? Delta state said no money was missing? Or did Ibori not have any money before he became Governor, he claims he was a millionaire in $$$?, it is the money Ibori claims he had before that he did not declare is what the Federal Government seized not Delta State’s, since Delta State said from their records no money is missing.

Dis government na thief government. The money was taken from Delta State, and should be returned to the State.

Didn't this government share a part of abacha's loot which was returned with a member of his clan?

What about the loan which was taken to fund those projects? I guess the money has disappeared.

Man, you need some education on Projects Implementation and Projects Finance. Awards of contracts is different from payment for the contracts which are based on percentage of completion.

That's the best the north could produce. You don't blame them. The money belongs to deltans and if they don't fight for it in court, it's their wahala. What I expect the federal govt to do is award a contract in the area the state has need and supervise it without allowing g one kobo to land in the hands of okowa. That is fair enough.

The 2nd Niger bridge is from Onitsha to where?

No money is missing from Delta State how many times must I reiterate that point? Maybe you are from Owerri? Go to Imo state and ask Uzodinma how much Okorocha stole, as for us in Delta there is no money to return to us because no money is missing in the first instance. Why are we always oppressed by our state governments and federal?

The money was looted from Delta State, are there no project worthy to channel the looted fund?

During Ibori time, the Eku - Effurun/Warri road contract was awarded and fund embezzled. Why can't the fund be use to complete the project.

From Abraka to Agbo the road is in a mess, can't they use the fund for the road construction?

Benin - Sapele - Warri road is now a mess, can't they use the money for the road repair?

There are pending projects in Delta state that are crying for funding. Why allow these projects to die?
