It may not be prevalent now, but it was a thing in the past. Google casting couch

I have my reasons to doubt this. Sex in exchange for roles: impossible.
The casting couch in Hollywood has long been known as the place where sexual favours are demanded by a powerful film producer or director from aspiring actors or actresses who want a role in their production. ... (It was, and still is)
a toxic culture among film producers, directors and other power players in the industry.

What brought the "Me Too" movement to social media? Harvey Weinstein. He is a Hollywood producer.

That was just 4 years ago.

Don't blame them.
Most Disney successful content from 2005 had the support of Steve Jobs Pixer Animation Company which I believe helped in producing amazing Cartoons.

But since the Death of Steve Jobs, well just like the Apple Company ideas, innovation plus Creativity all went down the Drain.

Take a look at Disney Movies that they kept recycling same features before Pixer Came to their Rescue.

Damn, so Steve Jobs was a founder of Pixar??

Netflix is effectively shooting itself on the foot. With the present intensity in the streaming Wars this is a stupid and wack move. Greed will hurt this people.
Paramount+ just launched days back. And HBOMax going global June and this peeps move is this. Smh. Disney+ already 100 million as at last month's end.

Yes, so imagine Disney without Pixer, that's what they are currently facing.
Job died and took most of the ideas with him that why did he is currently struggling.

Paramount Plus is a rebranding of CBS All Access, a streaming service that has existed for 6-7 years now. It couldn't hurt Netflix then, it's not gonna hurt it now.

HBO Max has yet to venture beyond the shores of America, therefore it's farcical to consider it a substantial threat to Netflix.

As of now, the only streaming service that could hurt Netflix is Disney Plus.

Gbam!!

Sebi I talk am before.

Netflix is already feeling the heat of the streaming wars and are forced to take measures to make more money.

Unfortunately for Netflix, the likes of Disney+, HBOmax, Paramount+ etc will make money from both streaming and studio BO.

My simple advise to Netflix is that they buy MGM studios and make money from both streaming and studio BO. If not, they'll make some decisions that will force customers out of their streaming service.

People are still holding on to their Netflix because of the affinity (since it's the first) but with this measures, I can assure you that they'll lose that number 1 spot at the end.

Disney plus is already at 100m subscribers, something that took Netflix 10 years to achieve, HBOmax despite being only available in the US and most expensive streaming service is likely at 20-30m subscribers. Once they roll out world wide, they will get more subscribers.

And finally with the pulling out of top movies from the likes of WB, Disney, Paramount etc from Netflix, Netflix really need to up their game as there are tons of crappy shows there. They need to make more stranger things and get more top notch superhero movies.

Well, this is still the beginning, let's see how everything pans out

Coming 2 America 5/10

While it looked spectacular and had some funny moments, it wasn't overall a good movie. Without its star power and nostalgic lure, this would have been a very silly comedy picture, to say the least.

you have great taste but I think the greatest disney cartoon of all times is frozen and maybe Up

Strongly disagree.

"Soul" is the most important differential.

You see that Ratatouille and Coco, it will take something extraordinary to beat them.

Frozen is just that, frozen with no soul.

PS: my biased opinion.

Yea,..I know Paramount+ is from CBS All Access and has only 8-9 million subscribers. It's not really in the conversation since it can't pull any weight. Although, more Streaming Services means lesser and lesser acquired content for Netflix.

Majority of Netflix's top shows or movies are licensed. Major studios pulling out their content is gonna affect Netflix no matter how big they feel like. It's not gonna show now until fourth quarter 2021 when effects starts to be visible (or not) depending on how they adapt and maneuver.

HBOMax is launching in Latin America in 39 countries this June. Later on moves to Spain, Portugal and the Nordics in following months.

HBOMax currently has 20 million subs in US alone. What does that tell you. It'll grow significantly bigger when it launched worldwide.

HBOMax only became available to Amazon Fire TV in November ending. Also just got available in Roku mid December. Those two alone owns 70% of Streaming platforms distribution.

HBO's slow and confusing myriad distribution deals and rollout is mainly what is hampering its growth. If those are primarily settled it could hit close to 70 million subs this year.

What's funny is the fact that they seem to be performing well enough since December last year without its Premier League IPs — No Big DC or GOT prequel available yet. You can't just write off HBOMax out of the race yet. Also Amazon is cooking something with LOTR series.

Same Bias view I share on this.

Frozen can't match those two in no way. It just got the hype and the BO cache to back it up.

Frozen will even struggle with Moana whom I see look similar to me. Frozen will easily get beaten by Inside Out sef. Frozen will still struggle with the likes of Brave and Up.
